If all goes well we'll bring it to Vegas and install it for you. :) And Phil of course. And anybody else on the list up there. |
Wait... is the price international? As an example, if it's 300$ in the US, will it be 300$ Canadian? Or will it be american and then we have to pay the price difference?

The Price will be in US Dollars. It will be up to you to convert your currency to the equal US Dollar amount. Lets just say at today's exchange rate with Canada, $500 US = $560.17 Canadian Dollars. If you gave me just $500 Canadian, I would only get $446.00 US. That's not fair is it? You wouldn't want BHR to loose money with sales to our International customers? It would put us out of business. If that were the case we wouldn't sell outside the US. |
Any chance we can still be added to "The List?"

I think I'm on the list but didn't send a pm to anyone.
Can you confirm please that I'm on the list? I need this thing with some urgency :( (my 6 month period for the AP is about to expire, would like to send at least one set of logs without cat). Looks like you are doing a great job, congrats! |
Waiting for official price before I get on that waiting list ;).

Is a tune recommended when switching to your midpipe? Or is it perfectly safe with no tune?
|
Hey Ray, you still going to make a new thread once you release the midpipe?

What are you currently using for a mid pipe? Do you have an Accessport?

Sorry, I have the same question as him... I have an AP with cat.

I ran with a mid-pipe for over 2 years on the stock tune. No problems. The mid-pipe allows for you to take advantage of a few features you cannot do as easily with the stock or high flow cat.
1. You can run leaner air/fuel ratios as N/A since you no longer have to worry about the rotary's excessive EGT's burning up your cat. 2. You can pre-mix without having to worry about oil clogging your cat. 3. You can safely run increased amounts of OMP without any risk of clogging your cat. Plus, our midpipe doesn't contain any typical silencer packing which, with high EGT's, will blow out within several thouands miles causing a serious change in the sound of the pipe. |
Thank you. My question was more related with performance gains than possible problems. So, rewriting jackalpupz's question, would there be any benefit adjusting the AP calibration after the midpipe is installed? Is there anymore left to scratch (hp, mpg, ..) after getting rid of the cat?
I'm assuming there is, based on "popular knowledge".. Thank you again. |
Correct me if I'm wrong but, isn't removal of the CAT illegal? Or wouldn't it not pass inspection or let alone void the warranty for those who still have one?
It's like this for my truck whereas if you're not really allowed to remove the CAT for those reasons. However we just chisel the shit out of the inside of it and get some HP from it yet they can't say we're not running one. |
Removal of the cat is against Federal law. It isn't usually enforced by local law enforcement. State and local laws would however. I believe you live in the NE US. Don't some of those states have California like emissions regs.? In that case, you would definitely have problems running w/o a cat (including a punched out cat). In most other metro areas, you have to submit to a scheduled emissions test that presently is just a ODB check for a engine error code. Certain pcm programmers can mask a bad cat code so you can pass this test.

We had a local turbo RX8 owner already pass AZ emissions with the cobb. Most of the time as long as inspectors see a buldge in the pipe they think it's a cat. Half the time they have no idea what they are looking for other than making sure you have exhaust and don't have an exhaust dump. |
That's pretty much what we do. Get rid of the inner material gutting it out, and move the sensor to get around it being picked up. And yes, CT/NY area so yea, that speaks for itself.

when will the BHR midpipe going to be available for perches?
i've been in the market for a midpipe and really liked the sound of your protetype. did some looking around but nothing comes close to BHR MP. but also liked RB MP but will wait for BHR. |
