Ask those little rotary-kamikazes what kind of money they invest, and what kind of engine management they use :)
A suicidal investiment!

This line, while interesting (and I am interested), is off topic. It deserves a new thread and include and links/references. It should be enlightening.

Sorry about that guys, Ray is just a book of knowledge so I figured I'd probe him or whatever. :D Plus it is true, I'd really like to hear what Ray thinks about that.

bse50 06-14-2009 05:24 PM

Creating that thread would be interesting anyway!

alnielsen 06-14-2009 05:25 PM

This would be an interesting topic and it wouldn't find a audience in here. I would like to read what others have to say about this. That was the only reason for my post.

Zelse 06-14-2009 05:33 PM

k i'll go make a thread about it and we'll start there. check performance in about..5 minutes. :D

Shazam. Now, back to midpipes. Did you ever happen to get a weight on it Ray?

Zelse 06-14-2009 09:02 PM

No problem ;) always looking for more reasons why your midpipe is better then the rest. :x

Brettus 06-15-2009 02:46 AM

Have not been following this thread so sorry if you already answered this .

Are you considering making a 3" racepipe for turbo applications ?

Ross_Dawg 06-15-2009 02:47 AM

Ross_Dawg 06-15-2009 02:48 AM

Brettus 06-15-2009 02:54 AM

got me there - thanks for your second post which was way more helpfull than the first LOL

ssspeedfreak 06-16-2009 12:52 PM

Charles how does this work for the inspection and does it throw a CEL normally?

dozer 06-16-2009 12:54 PM

any catless midpipe will throw a CEL...but for WEIRD ASS reason mine has been off for the past month and hasnt returned

Zelse 06-16-2009 12:59 PM

As mentioned in previous posts, you will need a Cobb Accessport or some other form of tuning software that will kill the CEL so when you go for inspection, it will not come up and allow you to pass.

I think my current cat has figured out I sent the check to BHR for the midpipe... getting some of the early "clogged" warning signs.

PSTNLSS 06-20-2009 06:01 PM

Well, I have yet to order my BHR midpipe but this week I should financially permitting I'll send the money order out. However it will be a month till I install.

I am due for inspection(i thought in June, but DMV says the sticker on car is what to go by).
Getting a compression check(feel a slight loss in power, just checking it out)
Getting a "stock dyno" (green air filter/gutted airbox, i know mad horsepower, just saying).

After installing the midpipe and probably a catback I will go back for another dyno(untuned).

So I hope I will be able to provide BHR with a nice dyno number on their sexy midpipe!

bump for updates?

laythor 06-23-2009 01:53 PM

smell and "feels" like it's starting to clog

Ross_Dawg 06-23-2009 02:16 PM

saw this beauty in person last weekend and DAMN... very light, beautiful welds, and I had to change my shorts after Flashwing revved it up :evil_laug

Jedi54 06-23-2009 02:23 PM

what's sad is that the pipe was on display at the Friday night meet and I completely forgot to take a picture of it. :banghead:
