i'm thinking about switching to the Greddy SE.

i like the HKS though. i just want something quieter to get less attention.

if you don't want noise, you shouldn't install the hks hi-power. It's the most god awful thing around.

especially since you want "2" of everything - the hi-power has half the mufflers the standard exhausts have AND the one you get is small.

Opinions opinions...

But I want the 4 resonators to be really compact. Maybe fit them so close that it looks like one resonator. In fact, let's just make one resonator, and call it the Quadinator(tm). Yeah. I'll take 4 of them.

The funny thing is you get the same effect by turning your key to the "OFF" position. It not only saves you from buying an expensive mid-pipe but also saves on gas!

Motomouse 07-01-2009 04:56 PM

Ray any chance you weight the midpipe ???? I asked before but I guess nobody answered
thanks

bse50 07-01-2009 05:14 PM

A sports catalyzer (re amemiya) weighs around 18.5\19 pounds with all the hardware for comparison. The Brain catalyzer i had before scaled at around 21.

I think this should be lighter :)

I have a brand new HKS Hi-Power sitting on my couch right now, thanks to Charles and the gang. I'm awaiting the arrival of my sweet BHR Mid-pipe. I'll be more that happy to show you just how "god awful" it will sound when I get it installed. :FIREdevil

I'll usemy friend's nice senhauser SG mic too, for my fellow production nerds. :wiggle:

i'm curious to see how this setup sounds.

blackenedwings 07-02-2009 03:18 PM

Yeah, I'm curious to how this will sound as well. I'm planning on eventually getting this midpipe (I <3 BHR) but with the money I've had to lay out to finish up the mods I wanted to do while the car was in the shop it will have to wait a bit. I am going to have an HKS Hi-Power exhaust installed with my Racing Beat non-resonated midpipe which I understand is going to be quite noisy. If the BHR midpipe can bring out more tone with less volume that's even better. Then again, I really like the sound of the HKS exhaust based off the video clips I've heard.

myriadshalaks 07-04-2009 03:31 PM

i'm on the list! :)

I'm glad it didn't happen in california cuz I probley would of sued and had to pay for the medical bill or some bs!

shazy 07-07-2009 01:23 PM

Damn son.... that's some crazy shit.

Videos of said fight or it didn't happen :)

laythor 07-07-2009 03:35 PM

not to thread jack or anything.. but any update on the BHR midpipe?

nuke0907 07-07-2009 04:44 PM

so we can't use our own hardware?

Zelse 07-07-2009 04:50 PM

Yeah, why not take a small poll or something on those who want to use their old spring studs or whatever? (I'm guessing it's the springs that go on the oem catback to cat...?) And even then, do we really need it if we have aftermarket headers and catback?

Easy_E1 07-07-2009 07:45 PM

Did you get my e-mail Ray?

dondo 07-07-2009 11:44 PM

so is that the last part you're waiting on?

Ross_Dawg 07-08-2009 12:01 AM

No worries; custom jobs always take time. Take all the time you need guys ;)

Zelse 07-08-2009 06:28 AM

I suppose, but if it's only bolts remaining, it's honestly not a big deal. I just got all my bolts replaced to my header by Mazda, and my bolts for the rear seem to be fine regardless. But I mean, thats just me. :D

Flashwing 07-08-2009 07:04 AM

I don't imagine there will be a very long delay with sourcing these parts. We're as eager to get these pipes out as those who ordered them. Don't beat up on Ray too much for wanting to ensure the proper parts are included with every mid-pipe. We make sure any product we produce is equipped with everything needed.

It's one of those unwaivering aspects about BHR. Zelse I'm sure you'd be happy to have those parts included in the event anything snapped or broke while you were removing your existing mid-pipe.

We're working as quickly as possible to source the necessary hardware. Once that's done we'll be pushing these out of the door.

onefatsurfer 07-08-2009 07:25 AM

The pipe comes with both gaskets, too, right?
