^let's hear the story!
meanwhile i can say that i've tested out the midpipe pretty well now.
it's not too much louder that stock and sounds great when you get on it. cruising on the highway is really nice with no drone at all. i've also had several comments about how good it sounds though i don't think i'd want cops standing around smelling the fumes.. now i just need to get it on the track to see how it does there and try to hear it from the outside as well.
great job guys!

One of my favorite features of this pipe is that it's quiet while cruising but does produce a great sound when your heavy in the throttle. The problems I've had in the past is either the exhaust note is quiet everywhere or it's loud everywhere.
Glad to hear you guys are all enjoying the mid-pipe. Laythor man, what an awesome story! I think we should add "Recommended by the San Jose Police Department" to the mid-pipe tagline!

OK Dondo.
It was Fat Tuesday in downtown Seattle. 1980. Three of my buddies and I were driving back from a night of bar hopping and drinking in Pioneer Square. Well we're going back to Bellevue on I-90. Start going across Mercer Island and I was going a little fast. MIPD just happened to be on the freeway and pulled me over.
He said where you guy's coming from? I told him Fat Tuesday in Pioneer Square. Asks me how much I had to drink. I said I was driving so I was not drinking that much.
Got to love the good 'ol days. He did make me get out and do the field sobriety test. Well I passed the test.
He asked me how far you guy's going. I told him the 148th St North exit off I90. He said keep the speed down and get out of here. That was cool.
So off we go.
Just as I get to the bridge on the East side of the Island, there was a WSP on the left shoulder. Well I was going about 85 mph when he pulled out and hit the lights.
Needless to say here we go again. So he walks up to the car and says, Didn't you just get pulled over back there?
I said yes. He said did he give you a ticket? I said no.,
Well he said he's going to have to give me one. But it will only be a 65 in a 55. Then He asks where we're going.
I said the 148th St North exit. The apartments on the left side just past the gas station on the top of the hill. I lied.
So here we go again.
Get to the exit and driving down 148th st North bound. We turn right onto NE 8th and start heading up the hill. Well at the light was my neighbor in his '65 Mustang fastback. And he flies up next to me going up the hill. Well I shift down to 1st gear and was doing 45+mph, about 6000+ RPM.
Well it just so happens that a Bellevue PD Black and White was coming down the hill. She flipped a u-turn and flew up behind me. Right before 156th she turned the lights on.
So I pulled over into the gas station on the SE corner of 156th and NE 8th.
OK let me tell you about my RX4. It was a bridge port 13B. With Racing Beat Hirise intake manifold/Holley 850 Double Pumper/Racing Beat headers/2 Accell Supercoils/2 MSD ignition amplifiers/dual 3" exhaust. And loud as F**k.
So the cop, a lady, walks up to the window.
She say's you were going a little bit fast back there.
I said no ma'am. I was in first gear and the car was high in the RPM range. I was doing the speed limit.
She said it sounded like you were doing about 80 mph.
I said no ma'am. I was in first gear doing the speed limit. It's just the way the car sounds at high RPM's.
I then told her I put 6 mufflers on it to try and keep it quite. I had 4 36" C-Ram paks (ceramic packed) on it and 2 12 inch glass packs on the very ends. I said you can see for your self.
Well she said I'll look, why don't you rev it up for me.
OK I thought.
Well it just so happens that my car throws flames like a F1 race car on decell. I mean I can get 3 footers out of this thing on the freeway on decell. Continuous, not just pop pop.
Well as I walked to the door she was looking under the car at the back end by the tail pipe.
I said ma'am you do not want to be right there when i rev it up.
She said rev it up.
I said again ma'am you do not want to be there when I rev it up.
Well needles to say she was getting a little bit mad at my telling here what to do. She said GET IN THE CAR AND REV IT UP!
OK.
Well I started the car and just floored it. 10,000 rpm and let off the gas. She was still at the back of the car.
Some of the most beautiful flames shot out of those two tailpipes. Nice pulsing continuous 3 foot plus beauties. I thought she was going to shoot me.
All I heard out of her mouth was GET THE FU*K OUT OF HERE!!!!!
So off we went. My buddies were cracking up. Having known what the car was going to do.
That was an epic night. Get pulled over 3 times in less than an hour. Only got one ticket instead of three. Flame a cop. And still had the 3/4 's of a bottle of Tequila under the dash.

Easy, that is one of the best stories I've heard in quite some time. The best part is, I can absolutely picture you in the car telling her to move, giving a big grin and hitting the gas pedal.

I'm cool with waiting for the logo to be done and welded onto the pipe, if you're still going to be getting them made. As much as I'm craving getting the pipe and putting it on, I'd rather have a 100% complete pipe with all the bells and whistles, and I'm willing to wait for it.. Hopefully it won't be 6 months from now, but another few weeks isn't a big deal...

I completely understand how parts get delayed and whatnot. Like I said before, I'm not too concerned about waiting.. I don't want to develop a reputation for being a "pushy" customer. However long it takes, I'm sure the quality will be outstanding (especially after reading these reviews)

On what? JK
It will be a few more weeks before I release final product pics.
Right now I have the prototype on my car and final fitment is being done. Some minor changes here and there. And then I'll let you all know when and how much and post pics.
It doesn't work that way all the time.
It will be a few more weeks before I release final product pics.
