Honnestly, this is quite noisy for a catless RX8 with stock header and stock catback, but maybe the bad quality of the videos makes it louder/different.

Very nice RIWWP. Liked the second one, with the commentary. Skidmarks into the wall.
So what do you think of the sound? I love the pipe. I like the sound more than stock, but it's not as good as it could be. I have to wait for you guys to finish developing the header and catback for that :)

Out for Delivery!!!!
But it's raining like crazy, and watch, I bet you this will be the one time they do not leave it in front of my door to get all wet. Yet when I am expecting a computer part or something for work they always leave it in the rain, |
My pipe is out for delivery as well. Still no car so it takes some the excitement away.

It seems the OEM and MazdaSpeed cat-backs are going to need alternate rear hardware (which I already have available) because they each use the same thin stamped steel flanges. Other aftermarket cat-backs tend to use thicker, Water-Jetted, flanges and that is what our pipe was designed to accomodate. Looks like a new pull-down on our webpage for ordering the BHR Midpipe will be needed, asking the question "OEM/MazdaSpeed cat-back currently in use?".
I'm using the OEM catback, so feel free to send that hardware over whenever you get a chance. I haven't had a chance to install the midpipe yet and won't get to for another week or 2 most likely... I'll hold off until I get whatever new hardware you've got for me to use :) Gracias! |
Almost 4:00 PM and UPS still has not shown up. Stayed home for delivery so they better show up by 5:00!
|
Mine was delivered around 6pm, when it's typical to get deliveries around 9-10am.
|
Usually 1-3 here so we will see.
|
And of course the pipe arrives after posting :D: Too bad the box is smashed and an exhaust hanger poking out of the box. I need to open it to see if it is damaged.
|
Crap - is it OK?
|
Everything looks fine. The tape at the end of the pipe was ripped off so the bubble wrap and the ring was loose in the box. Looks like there is some minor scratches but nothing major. But the pipe does not have the CAT so I will need to follow up with Ray. No worries though because I will not have my car for another 1.5 - 2 weeks so plenty of time.

I like it!!!

Nice looking pipe. Now get it on the car! I want to know how it sounds with your setup
|
Well if it wasn't for the stupid torrential rain storms I would have put it on tonight. I couldn't even do it in the garage because the freakin' rain was coming down side ways.
|
No FAIR!!! you got yours before me!!
I fart in your general direction! |
I passed the UPS truck while it was driving to the receiving facility this morning. Almost pulled it over to get my pipe. A few more hours and it will be at my door.
|
 It's killing me to have it sitting on the work table. the rain has subsided some, hopefully I can get it on tonight.
