Great review and thank you for taking the time to post it. Seeing others have the same response to this midpipe as those of us at BHR is awesome! Those who have received their midpipes and those who will get them in the future please feel free to post your initial feelings about sound and fitment as well as after you've driven with it for a while.

Nothing to be embarrassed about. Did you think that white paste on the mid-pipe was lithium grease?

So my hanger was not welded quite right it seems. My mechanic had to heat it up and bend it down so it wasn't hitting the metal above it.

Sounds like it has a leak but it doesnt. No air escaping anywhere. I saw the previous posts, guess its normal. Exact same as RIWWP described.

Pipe is quiet. I had AP midpipe before and all that raspiness is gone..I'm wondering is it too quiet for my tastes now lol. I'll see. So there's my initial feedback!

Did you still get the graphite donut gasket and crush gasket?
I did not and I was about to go to my mechanics this weekend to get it installed. I guess I have to wait...No biggie. What do I need to do to get the donut and gasket?

BETTER YET! Can I get the parts locally? Are they cheep? I really want to install it tomorrow...really really bad! LOL!!! If the parts are like $20 who cares.

So, why is it wet inside Caveman? Seems that Police isn't the only one that played with it.

As a reminder Ray, my hanger was out the box when I received it..it could have been bent because of that, and not the welding. Just an FYI.

After some hot trotting around town, here are more opinions. Pipe is quiet. I am adjusting to not hearing Agency Power BUZZ from 3k-9k, I suppose that is why the bhr pipe seems so quiet to me. It sounds really good though..and sounds the same throughout the whole power band. Pretty crazy actually.

With AP pipe I had all kinds of madness coming out the catback. HUGE backfires that shook the car and shot 2 foot flames even...the bhr pipe seems to have silenced a lot of that. It will backfire, but its not a cannon blast like it was with AP pipe. Much less frequent backfires as well. I suppose its due to the bhr resonator of course...the AP pipe is virtually a straight pipe if you look through it. The BHR resonator gets pretty skinny in there. Idk, just reporting on what my observations are, so there!

Heres a crappy video courtesy cell phone...

Mine was perfect. No bending twisting or anything, sitting exactly where my OEM cat hanger sat, at the same angle, rubber in the same spot, etc...

If nothing you see or hear over the next ~week convinces you, then make sure you ask for a quick ride with one of us that will be at Sevenstock. There is NO rasp.

Wait, I watched again and they crawl by at 00:28, 00:38, and 00:45.

BTW, one thing I am noticing in all these vids is the presence of strong low frequency content, a nice, warm, rumble. That was our goal.

lol @ ants

And yes, very nice low frequency rumble. The videos obviously dont do the pipe justice as hearing it in person does, but it does give you a good idea of what to expect. I still cant get use to not hearing any rasp....i feel like I neutered my rotary haha.
