The associated expenses of getting the RX8 to a decent power output by supercharging is ever on the increase , larger fuel injectors pumps , and possibly repositioning the fuel tank $$$$$$$

It'll be easier than that. There is obviously a market for a new fuel pump that can do what the stock ones do. This would be easiest for someone to develop. No modifying the car. Just change the pumps. Someone will do it soon.

Here's another solution. Hook up a seperate small pump inside the tank sitting on top of the hump. Just have the hose lead from the driver's side tank, through the pump, and dump it on the other side. Have it wired to only come on when the gas door is open. This way it will siphon the gas to the other side much like the stock pump does. Now you can use whatever aftermarket pumps you can fit and still have the tank fill up the same. This could be done without devloping anything new.

It's going to take more ingenuity than money. Larger injectors and pumps should be expected as you'd have to do this for any other car too.

Thanks Rotarygod for the insight on the fuel system issue of this car being the limitation factor in FI (and not as much on the Renesis durability). If the fuel system is limiting the FI applications to about 6 psi & 50 hp, how are outfits like SSR Engineering getting 7.5 psi and 100+ hp on their turbo application ? Are they skirting the fuel issue somehow ?
