Click on the "Go Advanced" Button. Then underneath the area where you type the post... click on "Manage Attachments". That should bring up a pop-up window where you can upload images.

"174.2 hp" - sheesh, thats worse than stock. It'll be interesting to see what scott discovers.

I can't say that I'm surprised it pulled less power than stock.... There was no fuel in there!!

I wonder if the retard ran full boost without upping fuel... LoL That would be funny....

I don't think it would hurt to post the company name of who did the tuning and therefore are sueing. Once the suit is filed, it is public record after all.

Before we start bashing this shop, you may want to look further into this.

Something doesn't seem right.

I can't imagine any tuner purposely running 18 A/F. I bet there is a whole lot more to this story than we are being told... afterall we are only hearing one side to it.

i'm failing to see how these two situations relate. different turbos, different tuners, other side of the country...

how am i bsing? i got a phonecall from a guy that said he needed a rebuild and he wanted to upgrade the turbo, computer, fuel, etc... i rebuilt the motor, got the turbo upgraded, and i'll get the ems done whenever he makes a final decision on it.
i think you're looking for something that isn't there.

hello all, my suit is not filed yet because im waiting for the total cost of either engine rebuild or the the possibility of a engine replacement from mazsport engineering at this time.

it's pretty lean in the beginning, but afr's drop as soon as boost hits. it gets down to the low 11's up top. it's common to see a little lean spike right when the dyno is started. it's pretty lean in the beginning, but that could just be from the operator stabbing the gas real hard while starting the thing. i'd look more into too much timing than afr's.

did the operator say what the egt's were like?
was he measuring knock?
who was doing the pulls in 2nd gear?

there was no egt gauge installed so i dont know, the technician that installed the turbo did three dyno runs but i have only the sheet that shows 2 runs, not sure what gear he was in when he ran car.

after the dyno run i had my car towed to my nearest mazda dealer and the next day or two the mazda tech called me and said that the compression on my 8 was so low it would not register and that there was a severe knocking sound coming from the engine. he recommended a engine replacement but i decided to have my 8 shipped to mazsport scott so that everything can be done in one place especially the tuning.

60mph = 2nd gear. that's just lame. 4th is best, but at LEAST 3rd gear should be used. only time i've ever done a pull in 2nd was just to get a VERY rough ballpark idea of what things were doing.

when the tech called me and said he was done with turbo install he said he was going to turn on the car and check for leaks and then drive it around the block. i wonder if he ran it hard that day but thats something i cant prove, but i do remember him tell me he heard a poppng sound though.
