Bosch Performance Parts?

I work for a company that has a account with Mazda Speed USA but it is the owners account he races and builds Miatas for a fun but he hates it if you waist his time for example I thought he could get me the speed body kit at a good discount and a week later he quoted me 24,000 for the entire Grand AM carbon fiber kit made me look like a dumb *** so before I go down that road again I thought I would check prices here first

Mazda RX8 2004 ST

Fuel capacity: 18.5

Tire size: 225/45/17.
Throttle pedal must be converted to manual actuation for installation of aftermarket ECU.
Approved Modifications Allowed oil cooler vent in trunk.
Permitted replacement components
1. Aero Kit, part # QSEA-50-020-X1, QSEA-51-96Z, QSEA-70-900-X1 Mazda Speed Phone # 949-222-2652
2. Exhaust header.
3. May use Bosch ECU. Contact Bosch, phone # (248) 876-2137
4. Mazda supplied 2009 R3 body panels.
5. Mazda supplied 2009 6-speed transmission.

That Bosch ECU is quite complex.
I remember reading Eric Meyer's ECU tuning thread and thinking......that's what it must feel like to tune a car from NO BASELINE up.
It took them hours and hours of testing on the dyno to get the big numbers out of their race car. Definitely not an ECU for the average Joe. Unless they have thousands of dollars to cover the dyno rental time!
