Buying a used intake?
I was wondering if it would be worth it to buy a used intake off my friend, he says it has about 5k miles. I was just wondering if i would get the same results as buying brand new. It looks to be in great condition.

Used intakes will spontaneously combust thus blowing up your car in the process.
EDIT: Well, there's nothing wrong with buying a used intake. The only thing you have to check is the filter itself, if it's dirty then clean/oil or buy a new one.

Better check the tread wear. JK
There are no wear items on an intake. What would be wrong with buying a used one? Appearances/damages are the only thing I'd look at. And you said it looks good.
Buy it.

you shouldnt buy such part used, piping is OK, but using any used filter is not. You just cant tell how many miles it has, or what kind of filtration filter has (cracks in material and so on...)
