AP w/dual res..It's load when you get on the goose.
Here are a few sound clips. I'm sure some of you have already heard them but I think it's prudent.

Put my midpipe back on with my Borla the other day and fixed my exhaust leaks with new gaskets and bolts. Started the car to test it out and got a loud rattle coming from the back of the car in low rpm range. Come to find out the side of the muffler in the center (bottom) was vibrating. Do you guys think this would be normal with the little additional airflow and no cat and resonator? Any ideas on what to do to remedy the problem?

Thanks man. I'm sure the fact that it's ported has everything to do with the way it sounds. Like none other and that's the way I like it.

Every time I see your car I drool for sure - I need to hook up with dannobre soon and come by and check out your ride up close.

I'm running a custom home made midpipe. Hacked up my RP Supercat and added a secret cat and a power pulse silencer.

EDIT: ^ This pipe is now off the car, and my race midpipe is on for the track day coming up. I'm changing my custom pipe now once again...

I removed my cat tonight to install a mid-pipe (that my friend made @ his muffler/repair shop)

When we looked into the cat, there was absolutely NOTHING inside of it. 110% empty lol. I was like ... THAT was unexpected. I thought it may have been clogged or even pieces of it blown out, but WOW lol.

We continued with the mid-pipe install however. It's a little raspy around 4-5k RPM which I kind of expected, but was still somewhat disappointed with. HOWEVER, the ricer in me enjoys the massive exhaust flames lol.

why spend all that money on a midpipe? i had a guy just cut my cat and resonator off at the flanges on my factory mid pipe and weld in a piece of stainless! cost me 40 dollars! much cheaper than 300 or so!

You do know that the stock cat in included in the extended warranty for all rx8's...right..and that the cat costs a lot of money...

its actually not raspy at all not quite as loud as putting mufflers on. it's noticeable thats somethings been done, but it really didn't change sound too much as i said, just a little more noticeable! and as for the warranty, if i was concerned with the warranty i wouldn't of done it! without the cat on there what is there about the cat to warranty?
