what you describe sounds normal for normal driving with a turbo. you will not get boost until you give the vehicle some load with the throttle. So what happens when you floor it with the throttle all the way down?

just take it for a drive and put it under load while driving (not just reving it in neutral)- then come back and tell us what happened with the gauge ....

more importantly - who is tuning it ? Sounds like you may need to take it to a tuner before you go hard into boost .

i can't tell you what's going on based on your description. if you can make a video tape of the car and show us the boost and afr gauges, we might be able to.

how about this... give us pictures of your engine bay, maybe tell us everything about the kit/install.... did you buy used or new? installed it yourself? did you tune it? give us all the info you can...

Where did you hook up the line for the boost gauge? Sounds like you may have chosen the wrong vacuum line.
