Cobb Access Port Need help

Hey guys I'm thinking about doing this mod into my 04. In my country normally we do just a remap to a local shop and honestly I don't know nothing about this ap. I heard there are more than one who sell these for rx8s. I know about the Mazdamaniac one. How does these work? Which is the best to buy from? Anyone tried it? Please help me I need serious help on this type of tuning.

There are hundreds of threads with people to lazy to search that have asked this same question that has already been answered, I will never understand the misconception and confusion associated with taking the time to educate yourself.

Information achieved is remembered long after information given is forgotten.

Oh you must have the first version.
The second version has an Easy button that automatically detects your cars modifications and makes the adjustments.

In the first version you need to do it manually using the "ToolazytoSearch" option.
You'll find all the information there.

that depends on car and tune. I never saw a problem with AFR, but the timing maps on Stage 1 are a bit different then stock. I know nothing at all about timing though.

there is no cobb staage 2 map. the best option it use the stock style map. then modify it as you wish.

I would think anyhting stage 2 or higher is going to be directly for your car. There's planty of info just go through the tuning subforum start in the stickyes. oil pump and fans are easy. If you have better coils then there's a few maps for them posted also. Then pick your desired afr and set the tables. Read about the MAF adjustments and in no time you'll be getting just the AFR that you want.

If you are FI then be very cautious, but for NA you're pretty safe.

Get ATR....use stock map... shut off CEL... flash to car.

Read and learn. .. then tune other stuff as you figure it out

Yes you can delete the cat code with atr and the accessport. Just search through the menus on top. Dont blindly delete codes check them out then make a decision on wether to delete it.
