Cold Air Intake?

I noticed that SR came out with a cold air intake for the RX-8, and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with it? Here's the link for it: http://www.srmotorsports.com/RX8_Per...ake_Parts.html. It seems pretty expensive, even for a cold air intake. If this one isn't really that great, does anyone know of a good aftermarket intake for the RX-8?

none of the intakes out do much for the rx-8, unless you don't mind a nice "woosh" sound with little or no performance gains. The stock airbox does a really good job of flowing air.

And don't believe the Dyno charts that some companies put out like K & N. Owners have proved that it is bullshit.

None of the current units are "Cold Air Intakes." They are all by design terms "short ram intakes" in that they do not pull air directly. In the RX8 there is a tube that makes air come in sideways. There are numerous pictures of this on the board. I have the Rotary Extreme unit, and it is pretty good, but don't expect more than 2-3 hp from any air intake. Racing Beat is coming out with their version, and that might be the best coming out.
