Cork Sport Exhaust Installed

Got my Cork Sport exhaust installed last week . The tips stick out more, which I like alot and the bigger lip really makes the ends much more visible from behind. The sound is great - quite a bit louder, esp at certain revs - but at high revs and/or light load it like stock (almost) for comfy cruising. The ends also don't seem to collect the black soot, I think it must get stuck on the inside pipe perferations maybe?

Enjoy the pics

PS Oh yes, There was a 16.4lb weight loss in this mod!

-------------OEM-----CS
muffler.....33.6lbs....18.8lbs
pipe...........7.0lbs......5.4lbs

The ends will get black! Sorry to say...but they will...trust me. You should hear this exhaust with the highflow cat and midpipe! I've been told I sound like a: plane, motorcycle, ricer, annoying, etc. Oh, and been told it can be heard from literally, miles away.

Enjoy the corksport....its awesome!

Thanks devoid, BTW, I found this old pic you put up of your Cork Sport. What is the black things circled? I didn't get those (but it was ryanvancil's used one).

That's a great looking exhaust... love those tips. From the size of those little cans, I bet that's loud...

Damn, that view from the back looks great. Probably too loud for me but those tips look superb. How much?

They are listed on the Cork Sport web www.corksport.com ~$600. I got mine used (25 miles so he said) from a board member. I must admit it was a little loud going from the luxury quiet of the stock exhaust. But now, after a few days I'm loving the burble and sounds I can create as I drive. I more and more think the car is sounding like how it looks now - a little edgy and nervous - on the boil, if you will.

I did decide to put some sound mat inside in the trunk - that has made a BIG dif in the sound inside the car. I think the trunk was acting as a sounding board.

Like I said I'm loving it and I also note other performance cars now appear to take even more notice and kind of "swarm" after me :D . I attribute that to the tips, now visible from far away, as well as the sound. What fun!!!

Excellent Spin9k, I'm glad to see you are happy with the exhaust. Can't wait to see it in person later this month.

Oh, and welcome to my obsurdly loud lifestyle :-)

Those were my stainless steel brake lines from Corksport. Sorry if they caused confusion. :D

i saw this exhaust at 7stock7 and it has been my favorite ever since. I love those tips. They're big but not ricey.
I never got to hear how it sounds so I'm anticipating your sound clip.

Man, I have wanted this exhaust for the past year. It looks awesome and with my sound system in the trunk, I needed some way to lighten the rear..hehe.

Is the sound way too loud?

Just watch any of the vids on my site www.spin9k.com They are all w/the Corksport.

Maybe try the last one Mont Tremblant "Good Intruction - Good Laps" - it's short, good sound, latest event I went to.:D

For a more in-depth study of the sound watch "Mont Tremblant Canada
Last Session Adv Group Solo Laps" :D

I tried asking corksport many times, but they wouldn't tell me the diameter of the exhaust piping.

Is it 3"? or 2.5"? If its 3" this would probably be a real good exhaust for anyone with FI.
