Update time! We are working towards a beta release in a couple of weeks! Please PM me if you have an 04-08 RX8 and would be interested in getting in on the beta release of the product.

Thanks!

Hi Gwynne,

I'm local and have been a beta tester for you guys in the past. I had the beta dual res midpipe. What size is the exhaust again? Does the exhaust shroud have to be modified?

+1, I would like to see it and know some details. I can test it out and see how it performs in a high heat, turbo application

The shroud does have to be modified. The exhaust is 63mm, roughly 2.5"

Does, or doesn't? I can't imagine you WOULD have to modify it with it being 2.5"

It is probably the angle of the pipe and not the diameter. You have to modify the shrouds for their dual exhaust as well. It is not a big deal though. You just cut away on the inside of the shrouds which is not noticeable when installed.

Looking to remove the stock exhaust. Dedicated race car.

Looking for exit on passenger side for weight distribution.

Must comply with SCCA sound limit: 103db

Will this exhaust be available passenger side??

We are not planning this as a passenger side exhaust.

I am not sure how the db is measured with SCCA. When we measured at 10ft behind vehicle, at idle it was 72db, at rev to 5k it was 112db.

GWynne: I think you guys are missing a market here. Personally, and others have said this to you, there are plenty of street exhausts for this car on the driver side. The underserved market is the racing/autocross market, to which more of these cars are being converted. Just my ever so humble opinion.

I'm on the edge of buying an HKS Hi-Power but would really prefer a passenger exit exhaust with 3" piping that is made with weight in mind.

I have the HKS but will remove it once a passenger exit option presents itself.
