custom lower intake or Air actuators removed
So I put a new motor in my car and figure i do a right up on my vdi wide open both of them and actuators sleeves in the lower intake. I was not really a fan of the vdi actuators so mine are fully open i removed the vacuum solenoids so less clutter also. I removed the gear and the slide rod from the electric actuators. and the metal sleeves. i left all electric connectors plugged in. put the car back together. and my results are actually very good. car runs smooth no hesitation, car pulls amazing. now i havent got the car fully tuned yet but for all the mods i have done its very smooth. now unless you have a cobb where you can turn the codes off, you will have the actuator engine codes. but they do not disable the car in any way. some people mentioned that your low end will suffer a lot. but if any loss has happened its very minimal. and the car pulls beautiful on top. so if any one was considering to run a custom lower intake or just open the acctuators fully and remove the electric actuators sleeves. I can say no negatives about it. if your turbo or super charged then just going to be a much smoother tune not having to worry about vdi's opening at certain rpms.

Also : be good if you knew the correct terms for what you are talking about ...... APV is the term for the rotating sleeves you took out low down above the exhaust manifold. SSV is the lower of the two above the injectors and VDI is the upper of those two.
Plus : your butt dyno sounds like it's just as well calibrated as most peoples that never bother testing things properly.

the thing is, your SC is not really moving enough airflow before they open at the OE set point to justify it
another issue is; reversing it after the engine is installed is in itself a dilemma. I ported an LIM and then after thinking and thinking, over and over, about it decided that it wasn’t a wise move. So I decided to take another one and only clean up the rough edges and anything that might reduce velocity or disturb airflow and induce flow-reduction turbulence.
