describe sound of racing beat exhaust
Please, i have had many awesome sounding cars from a gti vr6 with intake and exhaust to z28 with flowmaster,(variety is the spice of life) please in your own words describe to me in your best way the difference in sound between stock and RB. does it only sound different at very high rpm or across the board. i want it to be throatier and deeper below 5000 not just better up top, it already sounds mean at high rpm. i want to make sure the differnce is drastic enough to justify spending 600 basically just for sound. the winner of the most creative description gets........... much love from a fellow car nut Thanks t.g.i.f. :D

Have you been here yet??
I can not explain in my own words because I have not installed it yet, I have it at home still in the bubble wrap. Sorry, waiting for a lift hook up in Covina :D

a little off topic. I'm a previous VW owner, mine was a 1.8t. However, the VR6 is probably my favorite sounding motor. Sounds really good from an R32.
It'd be nice if companies would release sound clips with their exhaust systems.

The problem is depending on the recording equipment, the sounds can be off by a fair margin. Things tend to also sound different in person.
Regardless, a clip would at least give an idea on how things sound, and I agree with you.

i heard the rb in real life. You can hear the difference from start it's a very smooth and deep tone deeper than my ms exhaust. Under load the exhaust sounds different from the stock as its deeper. The most impressive thing is the way it looked and the way it sounded at idle definetly a good quality exhaust.

I have the RB exhaust. You notice it the moment you start the car. It has a deeper, throatier sound; reminds me of a big jungle cat rumble-in-the-throat sound. That characteristic holds through the entire rev range. It does not have a resonance problem that I've been able to detect at any rpm. There is no frequency where it suddenly sounds "boomy". At normal freeway speeds it is very civil; you can carry on a conversation without any problem. Under acceleration it sounds just great; especially at the higher rpms. Sounds more like a race car, less like a street car.
Looks fabulous, sounds fabulous. Extremely well made and constructed of the best materials. I'm completely satisified with it and heartily recommend it to anyone considering an exhaust upgrade. I'm going to get their intake upgrade as soon as it's available.

Well I heard the first one today. It's very quite at idle and a little above.
Once you rev it, it comes alive. It is a deeper sound.
And the owner says it is quite at freeway speeds when you are cruising.
