Do you need the RP bolt and gasket to install RP cat??

Do you need the RP bolt and gasket to install RP cat??

as the title says, im finally installing the cat later on today and i bought the cat from someone and i dont know if it came with the bolt and gasket when i bought it. thanks guys.

yeah, those gaskets shouldn't be reused. Best to put a fresh one on when installing the RP. (it's what I did)
also, check the welds on the heat shield around the cat. They're not the greatest and down the weld could break and cause excessive rattle.

Easy fix though, just have someone throw a quick spot weld on it or do it yourself. (muffler shops can probably do it for less then $20)

yea and the bolts from the stock cat are welded to the cat so you would need new bolts too.

yeah when i meant gasket i meant bolts and gasket haha... thanks for the help guys... i guess i just gotta wait n do it right the first timee.. grrr i hate that!lol

I took a look at the welding.. n I didn't see anything wrong frm what I cud tell... but then again I'm not an expert on welding...

i looked at the weldings and i didnt see anything that i thought was wrong... then again im no welding expert
