which drop in filter

I've been doing some reading, it sounds like the only drop in filters are the "green filter" and the k&n. Has anyone tried either one yet? i have never heard of the green filter. Where can I find it?

RXhusker - That website doesn't show Mazda in the auto info. Is there an equivalent Green filter part number? Thanks.

Three companies make these now, I guess: Green, K&N, and Mazdaspeed.

I can't seem to find any of the Green Filters for the RX-8. Maybe i'm missing it. Where do you recommend I purchase one at?

Does anyone have a Green Filter and Borla? I have borla exhaust and i was curious how they would sound/perform together.

Jose's is probably so busy overthere it ain't funny. I haven't been there in years and I think they moved, I know they used to be off S.W. 25th St. Is Hector still there? I know he was running 10s in his Supra, but that was long ago. I was thinking of ordering from them, but I decided just to pay the $7.00 shipping charges rather than taking a few hrs out of the day going there. Now having and exhaust or suspension work is a different story.

No Hector that I know. Then again, I've only know them for 6 months :D. It's Jose and Ray whom I always talk to if I head over (they are 1 block from my office). They are right off 107th av between 33rd st. and 41st.

I just turned green. The quality is better than K&N and is darned good looking for and air filter, too bad it's in a box. Yep, you can hear it breath a little better. As well as extra power, I can't tell yet. Hopes are that it will net a little better mpg and power, if not, at least I won't have to buy another filter for quite a while.

Yeah, It's been a while. I lost interest in performance mods when I sold my eclipse 7 yrs ago.

It's just as good in filtering as the stock filter, but allows a larger volume of air through.

Do a search on this and you'll find more information about this subject than you could possibly want to know in a human lifetime.

Just curious as to what advantages you guys saw from the new filter? Added horsepower? Fuel efficiency?
