Did you have the CanScan tool, and tune the unit yourself ? Is the difference with the two units (which unit did you have before the other one) noticeable ? i.e. if you had CZ before the SR pullies, once you put the pullies on was the difference noticeable, or vice versa ? Any dynos ?
CZ just tricks your car into thinking there is less air going in, so your car leans out the fuel to match. I doubt it will matter what pully set is on the car

Reset PCM

Hi Dave,

When you disconnected your battery and then did the 20 brake stomp, what that does is the battery disconnect resets the PCM to reread or analyze what your sensors are transmitting or giving feedback. The 20 brake stomp resets the sensors to original default.

So, what you need to do is just reset the PCM by disconnecting the battery for 2 hours only and see if that will let the PCM read a little richer to balance your setting, don't do the brake stomp.

I found out that on the second battery disconnect, my 8 seemed to balance itself better.........give it a shot and see if that corrects the over lean situation. Better that your car runs a little richer than too lean, otherwise you can get some serious engine damage.

I took my car into Mazda. They are going to do the 30k overhaul which flushes most of the systems...

I'll let you guys know if that fixes it... On top of that though I asked them to address the knocking issues and just dont assume the 30k will fix it.. Thats my main concern obviously..
