rebuild the Renny with custom low compression rotors, run high boost and be a pioneer ... I believe Billet does custom compression rotors and are working on incorporating the cutt-off seal design.... OR
rebuild it with fd rotors just make sure you drill in the groove for the cutt off seal ... then u'll really be a pioneer

Atleast 700hp?? Oh brother, why the hell would you need atleast that much power? Have you even been in a 400 or 500hp rotary before? Its almost too much for the street. The 13b's that are making 700+ hp on average only make 100 1/4 mile passes before they have to replace all the springs and gaskets in the motor. 700+hp is too much stress for a 13b to be reliable. Where the hell do people get these hp numbers from? "I want 700hp in my rx8!" This is getting ridiculous.

He has no clue.

He IS 12 years old.

And he has no RX8.

Otherwise......he would know about the 100,000 mile engine core warranty and try to use that desparately for his blown Renesis.

This forum has had a lot of really really pointless and dumb posts within the last few days.

I should post....Should I swap my engine out for a Rocket strapped to the back?

What the hell is the point of your question? You have the money for that build? Ask your builder.

^ Lol this can be true......

If he has the money he can do it. I also feel that he has not done enough homework. I just hope a 700hp RX-8 is in the right hands if it is driven on the street.

Good Luck....

It's two cents. Not two since.

You have no idea what you're talking about and this forum seriously is getting filled with idiots.

Cons for the RE-

Restrictive exhaust sleeves, FC style non-multi window stat gear bearings, and FC style Crank Angle Sensor. With a rebuild you can easily swap in the FD/T2 exhaust sleeves, and FD stat gears/bearings. Getting around the CAS is a little bit more expensive.

Pros for the RE are price, they are cheap. They also have a little bit better flowing intake manifold( large runners, less sharp bend angle on LIM)
yeah turblown gave youi a very good answer to your original question he told you the REW was the better choice- and then you ignored it

good luck on the "reliable" 700 hp RE engine

You can daily drive it and it can be done, as long as you have the money! I don't doubt that your builder knows what he is doing...

I would suggest getting a ride in a 300-400hp RX-8 first and see how it feels. Just think about what you are saying first for a street car. We are talking about a 700hp RX-8. Think about what is needed to maintain such a car. I would also suggest having atleast $25,000. Fab work, supporting mods/upgraded parts, labor, tuning for this will be more than your average 13b swap + a turbo.

Keep us updated and good luck with your build.
