Exhaust

I am looking for an after market axhaust with a deep sound . From what i have seen from the vido clips online, they all seem to sound like a faty tip sound. Any suggestions?

ive heard greddy, borla, and racing beat in person... i have racing beat which is mellower than the other two... greddy is the loudest but the sound was aggravating to me... i really didnt like it... borla is probaby the best sound but the ugliest and ive heard of problems with installation... in short i love my racing beat but wish it was louder... good luck

Best I can suggest is that you figure out who on this forum lives near you and has an aftermarket exhaust so that you can go listen to it in person. I have the greddy. I listened to all the sound clips, but they sound MUCH different in person, for instance My Greddy that I installed yesterday is no where near as loud as I thought it was going to be. You just need to try to find them in person and listen to them, only way you are sure of what you buy.

I've been calling borla ugly, simply because it isn't pretty to look at. On the other hand, you have to keep in mind the design - you don't see the can when you look at the car from the rear. So it didn't need to be pretty. If you want to see the cans, then clearly borla isn't for you. I'm starting to like the idea of no can showing.

i was going to recommend that exhaust, but i'm a few days late it seems :p . Good choice however. The Borla was my second choice, but it was a distant second. The Greddy had this high pitched sound that I didn't like. Those were pretty much the choices available when I bought my rx8store exhaust.
