Exhaust and age...
I just wanted to see how you guys rate the sound of exhaust... can you guys with aftermarket post your age/exhaust/ 1-10 on the sound (10 being the loudest)
i only say age bc younger people will think a mild exhaust is well mild when older folks might think its ricey and obnoxious...

Borla.
Hi-Spec hiflo cat.
Quiet and burbly at idle,
Fairly loud, full bore,
...perhaps a little 'droney' on the highway.
Definitely noticeably different.

33 - Racing Beat
Sound is very nice, if Greddy is a 6 on the loudness scale I would say the Racing Beat is a 5 which for me was about perfect.
Idle = almost no difference from stock
mid range = little louder/throatier than stock
WOT = On a scale of 1-10 it is probably 3 levels higher than stock, perfect for me.

Cruising RPM's => 4
WOT = > 8
... although I notice a lot has to do with my surroundings... in a wide open road I'd probably rate it a 6, but around buildings, home, guardrails, etc- definitely a solid 8. I've heard way louder from Civics though... I would consider this to be more "refined", as it's tame under WOT.

B&B
Cruising =4
WOT=6
I was told this was the "loudest" exhaust a number of times, but once I put it on it sounded kind of quiet to me. I'm considering a hi-flo cat which should suit me just fine I think.

26, RacingBeat, 1 at idle, 3 highway speeds, 5 or 6 if you are taking it to the beep.
I'm very impressed with the RB exhaust. It's not very loud until you really hammer the engine. Which is exactly what I was looking for. This exhuast does not have a ricer sound to it at all and it makes the engine exactly how it was meant to sound. I think anything louder would be too much.
