Exhaust Help
Believe me I have done search upon search but I cant find a thread that fits my question. I have read through multiple threads relating to the main exhaust brands but still not much help.
I have been set on getting a racing beat dual cat back exhaust for my 8 for quite somet time now and I have got the money saved up. I called about three weeks ago and placed an order which they said was on back order for about a week and a half....Fine, i can deal with that. Call them earlier this afternoon and they told me they just sold their last 25 to a dealer somewhere and that I was next in line but it would take 12 weeks to get my application in.
Sorry to get off track but here is the initial question. Which exhaust applications are great for sound like the RB and W/O droning? I would like to hear from a couple of people with various exhaust setups and their impressions of their application (not just how amazing it is, I want an honest impression with the downfalls that they would like the have changed) Ones I would really like to hear are RB, if its worth the wait, B&B, Borla, HKS, and Greddy.
Also to feed the ricer side of me, w/ a catless midpipe which of the applications, if not all, can spit afterburn flames? (I thought that was a cool bonus with the RB).

i'm about to pull the trigger on a B&B. You can go on youtube and search for those sound clips, they're all on there. That will give you some idea of the differences.

I agree with Phade2, search youtube for ideas. I did the same thing before I bought mine. I also used streetfire.net. Vividracing (where I purchased mine) also has video clips of the Agency and the B&B exhaust setup.
I'm running the Agency full exhaust system (with a cat-delete). I do love the sound, but it forces me to turn up the volume on your radio more! It also gives you a false sense of speed because of how loud it is (of course I'm speaking from someone who doesn't have a cat, won't be as bad with a stock or high-flow cat). You'll then find yourself shifting to higher gears through back streets to tone down the noise (don't want to attract the "wrong" attention) As far as gain... noticeable above 6k RPM but I wouldn't brag too much about it. Truthfully, the one thing I love the most is popping flames as I'm shifting (or when someone is riding my ***)!
But my whole reason for going with a cat-delete is the Mazsport turbo kit.
If you don't plan on getting a turbo, then DO NOT go with a cat-delete. I would suggest a high-flow cat (plus its good for the environment )
Hope this helps

Right but the only problem with that is that the sound is external. I am not going to hear the exhaust of my own car from the outside. I love to show my stuff off but I also wanted to hear from people that have experience with the interior of the car, how loud each is to drive and if there is any droning present and in what part of the power band.
^^^That is exatctly the stuff I am looking for. A well descriptive example of somebody who knows first hand.
