Question Exhaust and Intake

Hi guys, I just got my 8 a week or two ago and I was thinking of just doing mostly cosmetic and some small performance increases to the car. I am currently looking at the Revi CAI and the Ram Air Duct as well. Can anyone offer any advice on how the performance is on these compared to the others out there? I was also looking at the borla exhaust system for the 04 RX8. I love the way it sounds and I was also looking at replacing the catalytic converter a little bit down the road. I'll be having body work done to the car in the next two weeks to get rid of a scar left by a tree (small scar) lol but I was gonna have the front bumper taken off so I can install my fogs and the CAI at the same time. Anyone have any pros/cons for these equipment? Here are the links to what I'm looking at:

Racing Beat Revi CAI and REVi RAM Air Intake Duct

Borla Exhaust System

Also, anyone found any prices cheaper than these? I've looked a bit myself but haven't really found anything that would be cheaper for me. I live in Kentucky so of course domestic shipping would be the best.

Got my REVi Ram Air Duct for $135 out the door straight from Racing Beat. Got my REVi CAI for $150 from my friend who decided he didn't want his. Got my Magnaflow Dual Exhaust from my other friend for $200 who was going back to stock (not even 15,000 miles on the exhaust). Can't complain there

If you plan to stay NA, then I think the Revi with the ram air is a good choice.
Exhaust.....well........that's kinda up to you. I do have the RB catback and I like it for various reasons. It is heavier than stock, and certainly not as loud as others but I like it none-the-less.

^^^ listen to Mazurfer, he's one of the good guys around here and speaks the truth.

Racing Beat makes great products, their intake is one of the best out there when paired up with the air duct.

Exhaust??? That all comes down to personal preference. search youtube for a few sound clips.
All depends on what sound you're aiming for.

I wonder why your buddy replaced his?... I was thinking the K&N tornado or whatever but I don't want my car so sound like all these cheapo ricers in town... (I'm from Kentucky so all the rice here is pretty dookey - yes, I said "dookey".)
I would like to hear the rotary rip every now and then while cleaning out the carbon buildup lol. So is the ReVi Ram-Air CAI worth it vs the tornado or something like the SR intake?

Thanks for stepping in and answering Jorge........I was out practicing my backstroke in my side yard which has turned into an Olympic size swimming pool! Think next I will try sculling.

oh, I should've known that :P thanks.
Anyone try the AEM CAI? I was thinking of maybe getting that. It's a little more expensive but no more than that RAM Air intake would cost me. I wonder if the noise on that is as loud as the typhoons...

Is driving on wet roads something that I'm gonna have to worry alot about with a CAI system? (That may sound like a stupid question but I'm trying to weigh the pros/cons of a short air intake vs the CAI)

Wet roads, "no"................flooded roads with a 8 to 12 inches of water are a different story, and should probably be avoided.

Oh well thats no biggie then... I'm not that adventurous with my 8 as to take it through any lakes or anything... The waters around here seldom get that high during floods but when it does, it really floods. Thanks, I'll keep that in mind tho *ding*. :P
