hi, i'm getting my rx8 soon and i'm already looking into some minor mods, i was looking through the exhaust clips here and on youtube, and it just doesn't sound the same compared to listening to it in person. so here's the thing, i see that ppl like hks, Ms and racingbeat? I'm trying to look for a somewhat quiet exhaust when idle and normal cruise driving, but can hear the roar when i'm gunning it, somewhat like the G35/350z exhaust, it's quiet when you're just cruising but noticeable when you rev it. the HKS exhaust i had on my rsx is giving me constant headaches, i'm sick of it, im just looking for something that's more daily driver friendly, but can be heard when revved (louder than stock of course, or there wouldn't be much of a point in changing exhausts). What do you guys recommend? Thx for your help guys!!

My Racing Beat is pretty quiet but it's definitely louder and deeper than stock

 

another vote for the RB exhaust. Just got mine installed this past Fri. Just a tad louder and deeper than stock until I step on the gas... I've turned off the stereo to listen to the exhaust ever since.

actually yeh, let me kinda rephrase it, i just want an exhaust that isn't too loud that you can hear it from inside the car. my hks exhaust is so loud that it's driving me insane when i'm trying to listen to music.

 

The MS exhaust sounds louder and more aggressive than the RB one. If I didn't have to give my mom a ride once in a while AND if I didn't get pulled over for having a loud exhaust (Greddy on my GS-T, which was replaced by my current 8), I woud have gone with the MS exhaust.

The RB exhaust is a little louder and deeper than stock. It's more mellow than the MS exhaust. In fact, I had to ask a co-worker to do a driveby in my car so that I could hear what my car sounded like to other people. Let's just say that I loved what I heard.
