Exhaust you have and feedback...
I've done searching and read over the exhaust overview sticky thread, but want to get a general consensus... what exhaust do you have and what are your feelings on it? Sound level? Additional power? Sound QUALITY? Looks? All that good stuff... Thanks!

^ i can't say it'll be better, because i'm a guy anyway,i vote for Racing Beat i like the sound, not to loud, its nearly a sound stock to me,but give a nice sound when you start to rev it high, just my opinion

haha, ya, I know what ya mean... but I didn't know what the major brands were and what were the best, so that's why... Anyway, did you notice much in the buttdyno gains - pull wise? Also do you know the dyno numbers, and what other mods you have - if any?

^ no prob as for the buttdyno,i never had it dyno when it was stock, furthermore my car is AT,just feel a bit wise with it and i like it,can't say more.. anyway my other mods are Racing Beat intake and duct too maybe there'll be a noticeable dyno with it on MT,just my guess

I like my Greddy sp2. i dont find to be to loud but i have the K&N intake as well so it can get loud at times but i dont mind it. its got a nice deep tone to it. you just have to be a fan of the enormous tips. other than that its awesome.

MS dual can for me. Not too loud, but noticeable when you want it to be without a persistent drone. I find the noise to be tolerable enough that I will be adding a supercat in a few months to squeeze out what power I can from my current exhaust set up. As a side note, I have the RB duct mated to the stock box so I don't get much noise from under the hood.

you're gonna get alot of "other" votes since you left Racing Beat off the list. In compiling exhausts for the exhaust, exhaust, exhaust thread...there are too many options for the 8.
I'm happy with my Racing Beat, but have thought about switching it out for the new Mazdaspeed (dual cannister) one...given the weight savings over the Racing Beat one...as well as the deeper sound of the MS exhaust. I think I am ready to go louder.

Greddy SP2 with SR Motorsports high flow cat without a resonator.
I didn't hear it with the stock cat. Imagine it would be a lot quieter.
Love the tips although they take some maintenance to keep them silver, English Custom polish "Hot Chrome" helps keep them silver.
Love the sound.
If a person goes the route of Turbo FI it will be much quieter than NA.

I am surprised to see how many MS dual owners there are.....because they must have all done what I am thinking about doing...trading in their existing aftermarket exhaust for the newer MS version.

When you see a post that says "low and deep" combined with "not ricey", I think all it means is "not shrill sounding". The fact is, all ricers have nice, low deep sounding exhausts that exceed what is available for an RX8. The noticeable Civics that sound shrill aren't ricers, just normal people driving an old car that is physically broken/something wrong with it.
