Im running the stock exhaust with a midpipe. Its a cheap "holdover" until the income picks back up at which point Ill invest in a HiPower, always been my favorite.

Is that obnoxiously loud, sound good, sound bad, raspy, deep? Thinking about doing that myself. Which midpipe did you go with?

What bugs me is you can't buy a $250.00 aluminized system. You have to buy a $600.00 stainless system. Why I must have something shiny and stainless under there, where I can't see, I'll never know. Just give me shiny tips and call it good.

AK RAM, I feel you on the aluminized prices. For me I feel that rotary powered cars, due to the heat they create, stainless systems fair better in the long run.
But Mazda does not use stainless from the factory due to cost and they know it is not critical.

My system is full stainless and I admit it is a bit pricey, but so are all the parts I use. But I don't polish it because it is under the car and stainless looks good enough by itself. After it heats up there is not much difference between a polished system and a non polished system. When they get that golden color from getting hot, it dulls the polish anyways.

Im using a rotary performance midpipe. To be honest, everytime I dig up a little coin for an exhaust system, I spend it on other mods. Its a costly mod for no much power... Just keep than in mind, you are buying noise, thats it.
