Existence of turbo kit for '09?

I've searched...maybe my search skill is just not up to par? I've seen plenty of threads regarding turbos/SCs/FI, but none of them (that I've been able to find) directs to anything regarding 09's Series II RX-8s. The reason why I'm asking is because the overall physical configuration of the engine bay is different than 04-08 RX-8s. Maybe not by much...but I'm sure the free spaces inside the bay is definitely different than before. Even though the engine isn't really a "new design," it is technically different from the original Renesis due to the small changes.

So, are the available FI kits out in the market suitable for 2009's? If not, are there any 2009-only kits out there?? I have very little hope for my latter question as Series-II RX-8s are barely out on the road today... Oh, and my concern is the same for any ECU updates/flashes for 2009s...

I don't see why any other year Rx8 turbo kit will no fit. The main thing to look at is the exhaust manifold size and how much room is near the downpipe. Can't imagine those things would have changed much is any.

IIRC, the passenger side of the oil pan may cause interference issues.

You're biggest issue will be engine management since you have no options for that as of now. I know COBB is currently working on an AP for the 09's but right now you have nothing unless you want to go standalone

Don't they fit? I think that you would at least need a custom harness for the microtech and the emanage.

I think Pettit in Florida were looking at adapting their supercharger kit for the 09, but I'm not sure how far they have got with it yet......

Its a work in progress I think....

Yeah, unfortunately none of the available systems will work on the '09 as they are now.
E-Manage and Int-X won't work either. AccessPORT is still in development for the '09, but there is no projected release date.

Fortunately, it will be years before I get to that for my 09. I'm going to enjoy having a warranty for a while. All of my other cars get driven so many miles that the manufacturer warranty expires so fast I've never really cared about modifications affecting the warranty. Eventually, though, I was hoping to do FI or possibly an engine swap to a 20b (if one can be found). For now I'll be sticking with mild things like wheels, suspension, cat-back exhausts, etc.
