Exoticspeed R2-Titan Vs Agency Power?

These are my two exhausts choices but i cant pick a winner. As of right now im leaning towards the AP but i was hoping for advice from people with these exhausts to give me some feedback. how loud are they? any Gains? i have watched as many videos as i could to find out how they sound and it isnt quite doing it for me. so any info would be appreciated. Thanks

R2 is considered one of the loudest exhaust for our car, I have an 3" engine back all Exoticspeed and except for the midpipe having a high flow cat I love the entire system and quality is amazing. Note Exoticpseed is located in Canada where their parts are manufactured

Personally I think both sound like ****. The Exoticspeed was okay with the BHR pipe but no bueno with the AP midpipe. My buddy had it with the BHR pipe and sold it to another buddy with the AP midpipe and it's just too raspy.

The Exoticspeed is a way better made product in terms if fit and finish though, the AP looks cheap and the tips suck.

I'm not sure which Exoticspeed it was but it was the more expensive one. It is also not a true 3" exhaust, it has a restrictive resonator in it.

Thats the R2 Scott.

Its what I have, they made a limited edition version in full CF a couple years ago which IMO looked awesome, plus I love that the tips are inter changeable and come in a variety of different sizes and shapes.

Curiosity, which system do you recommend?

I will be swapping out for the BHR long tube once thats complete

I am running the Exotic speed RII with the stock mid pipe (gutted cat), and LOVE the sound. It is very loud when you open the car up, but is some what mild if you are just putting around town.

The quality is superb. I have had the RII on my DD for 2 years. Being as I live on Vancouver Island in BC Canada, there is a load of salt spray from the ocean and snow/salt on the road in the winter. This exhaust has help up to the salt, far better than I could have imagined.

I have no complantes about this exhaust at all.

im not talking about the midpipes im talking about the catback exhaust. im going on getting the supercat as my midpipe, and i like the burble of the AP better but the r2 seems to be a nicer product in all. haha sound wise i personally like the ap better. and i dont prefer the tips of the exoticspeed. The chrome and blue tips things isnt my favorite.

Yeah the Exoticspeed has tip variety, but it's also very expensive. A CF catback? Any exhaust will look like **** after 1,000 miles on the road so who cares what it looks like underneath aside from the tips?

I have installed just about all of the popular ones (AP, Megan, Borla, RB (couple diff ones), HKS (hi power and legalmax), Greddy SP, Exoticspeed, Magnaflow, Tanabe (rare), Mazdaspeed (both versions), and Turbo XS,) and a couple of them more than once and I have owned two myself (HKS Hi-power and Turbo XS). As for fit an finish, well honestly I never found one that didn't fit properly and believe it or not, the two times I did see issues over time (rust in the land of no rust) it was on the Mazdaspeed and on both occasion it was rusted thru welds. But my Turbo XS is around 5 years old and still in perfect condition.

As for sound, well that is subjective. I like loud, but my favorite sounding exhaust is the Borla with the BHR midpipe or the Racing Beat Revi with the BHR or RB duel res. The midpipe is an important element. That said, I like obnoxious and that is why I miss my HKS Hi=power BHR combo the best. But I wanted nice dual tips again so I went with the TurboXS.

Now, keep in mind I am turbocharged so that quiets things down tremendously and so the Turbo XS BHR combo is very quiet compared to others. For the money the Turbo XS is the best deal, true 3" (in case you ever go turbo) and the fit an finish is great. But if you are NA, the TurboXS catback and midpipe combo is freakin' loud, too loud for most. But the Turbo XS catback and BHR mid pipe is excellent.

And DO NOT judge the sound of an exhaust based on youtube vids.

The RP supercat is a waste of money, the cats in them burn out often. I know a couple of people who were more than disappointed with their RP supercats. Actually that is aftermarket cats in general, even the davesport doesn't last worth a **** if you drive hard or track often.

+4895930, I have this setup, it is pretty loud. But a good loud. The sound of the low grumble to the high pitched scream of the rotary is amazing. Plus, I love hearing the backfires and things after driving it.

My friend even said it was loud, but says it sounds awesome. You can easily drive it around town and not get in trouble, if you keep it under 4-5k, which you should be anyways if you are just putting around town. Though, I always rip first gear when I can.

My opinion is that the R2 sounds like *** with a straight pipe. With the BHr it is okay, but still not as deep or throaty as the Borla, Revi, Magnaflow, or TurboXS.

If you must go by Youtube vids, here is mine.

but thats where were different. i dont want something extremely loud, which is why im thinking i shouldnt get the AP. the AP sounds nasty which i like but it might be too loud. The R2 seems calmer to me. loud, but calmer. if u know what i mean. haha

Keep in mind that video you posted was taken in doors so of course it will sound deeper and less raspy. I drove the BHR/Exoticspeed combo for a year when I Kept a buddies RX-8 while he was playing in the sand and it is far from calm.
