Final Gear and LSD installed!!! But waiting for break-in...

** 6/4/2007 Update **
I had a chance to bring the car to cali speedway infield, but to my disappointment, the car doesnt seem much faster.
The configuration was different from the last time I went, so I cant do a straight time to time comparison, but on the front straight, I am only able to reach 108-110mph. Which is the exact same speed I could reach before I put on the 4.777 gears.

Now, I also did a comparison with my friends bone stock 2007 S2k. I wont go into details, but lets just say, both is the same until 3rd gear, the s2k seems to pull.

So... Im still in shock, cuz I expect to pull from a stock S2k... :|

** 5/7/2007 Update **
Ok, I changed my LSD oil and have tried to really push the car. My feedback:

1. Torque throughout the rev range is improved.
2. 3rd gear and up is where the increase really shows. Before, reving 3rd gear seems to take forever...

As of how much of a gain? Well, on a scale of 1 = minimal gain, 5 = massive gain (think turbo). I would probably rate it at most a 3.
For your reference, I personally would rate a flywheel, probably 1, 1.5 at most.

Video wise, I only have access to crappy cell phone videos and I have no idea how I can secure it while driving...

Overall, I think its a good mod, but not a great mod. Defn this is the mod that made the most power difference on my car.

LSD wise, dont know whats a good benchmark to test that apart from track :P

Mileage observation updated below

** 05/02/2007 Update**
Im waiting to put in new LSD oil to really test things out, but I think MPG from the final gear should interest people. Unfortunately, Im only thru with my first tank of gas after the goodies. Will keep on posting as I go thru more tanks of gas.
My MPG varies from a low 16s up to 19s.

1. 244 miles (50% highway, 50% city) / 13.9 gallons, 17.6MPG
2. 239 miles (80% highway, 20% city) / 12.1 gallons, 19.8MPG
3. 214 miles (50% highway, 50% city) / 13/6 gallons, 15.7MPG!! (Lowest I've seen for my car. But I did kind of pushed the car quite a bit on some roads...)

** Original **

Finally got my Feed gears AND Re-amemiya 2 way LSD installed!!

But need to wait for breaking-in the LSD before can really test them both out..

Wait for my review, but initial impression/review is:

1. the car really wants to rev up high now. im like driving at 4-5krpm constantly..
2. I dont think you need to adjust the speedo, cruising 80mph is now at 4500rpm. Needs time to get used to that.. :P

Thanx

I had these, but ended up selling them as I am already having issues with CA gas being so expensive, and me only getting 210 to a tank now. I'd really like to hear your impressions on the difference it makes though.

I wish I could break in this thing earlier, but I have short commutes.. :P

Btw, anybody know the proper way to break in a LSD?
I read from the kaaz website. They say to drive in a "8" pattern for 45 mins??
and during the turn, need to disengage the clutch...

Dont know where I can find such a spot near my area to drive a "8" pattern and for 45 mins?? hope I dont throw up afterwards

Just find an old strip center parking lot. Like a shuttered-up K-mart or something.

it's in 1st gear up to 12 mph on the straight section and only for 30 minutes, doing mine tonight, hope my heads not spinning too long afterwards. Fortunately the lot here at work is big enough.

http://kaazusa.com/techHelp/tech_Help.htm

you paid too much if you bought it through RE-Amemiya, I was just getting ready to post that all they do is mark up an aftermarket LS that you can buy anywhere else, that also probably means that you didn't get their newest WPC treated clutch plates either, sorry ...

Kaaz says to change the oil following the break-in procedure, from your site link:

After the initial break-in procedure, the LSD oil must be changed. If you examine the discarded oil after breaking in the LSD, you will notice it contains metallic particles from the rubbing of the plates during break-in.
extra time on break-in won't hurt anything except trying your patience

just finished breaking mine in
