Flip Up Screen Possibilities?
Hey I have a 2008 Mazda RX8 40th Anniversary. I was wondering if it would be possible/not so hard to install a flip up screen on my dash like on some of the other user's rx8s on here i.e.

Yes. absolutly possible.
I've done it.
There are two ways to go about it. The first picture you posted was a lilliput 629 in a piece fro japanparts.com (about $300 for the piece). that you have to manually flip up. The second is what I and 10 or so others on here have done, and that is find an OEM navi hood. (dcharlie or something like that is selling one right now) and hack it to work by soldering to the correct leads, if you decide to go this route pm me and I'll tell you which ones. then opening it up, taking the OEM screen out and putting in a lilliput.
However, this route requires a car PC or laptop to make the screen work. So it turns out to be a rather large investment.

But if you decide to do it, seriously, feel free to PM me. because I wish I had someone to help me the whole way. dean-rx8 is helping me with some stuff now. But I had to do a lot on my own.

Thanks so much for the advice. Here's a NAV screen offer I've managed to fine.

The second option sounds better to me, although it does sound rather complicated. I'd be willing to pay you to walk me through it though.
