In Australia, you can have it install around AUD$1500. Should be able to do it in US around US$1000 mark.

sorry to revive such an old thread, but we just got one of those, and there seems to be a lot more oil smoke coming from the exhaust, even with the engine warmed up, if we rev it up then back to idle, smoke will just pour out for a couple seconds.
Is there something wrong or does the stock exhaust have some kind of a smoke filter that this one does not?

Hi mate in Thailand.
No black soot is a normal build up from the exhaust. It is normal for any exhaust. You just don't notice it in the stock one that is all.
You like the sound of it?

Taka, nice Exhaust, do you need any welding? or Bolt on only. I'm considering for Fujitsubo as well, how satisfied are you with the product? Do you have any other recommendation other than Fujitsubo?

Hi just to check will the Fujitsubo exhaust tips get rusty over time? I got my rx8 from a second hand car dealer with an aftermarket exhaust fitted but not sure what exhaust is that...... it has no logo or any engraving on the tips so really couldn't tell what exhaust is that.
Hope someone can help

I don't have any picture, but looking back on the photo the drum and the tip has gone yellow. It does rust a little. I can be polish out though. I used to have a metal polisher and rub it to keep it shiny.

I see.....so it does rust a bit. The tip looks awful to me, esp when compare to other make like knight sport or HKS which has chrome or shiny tips with even wordings engraved on it. It's a road legal exhaust though cause i got a cert for that....... I see the JASMA wording on the cert thought it was the brand name, rest is in japanese which i cannot read at all

It was shiny and chrome when it is brand new. It is as good as any new exhaust out there. It is like a titanium exhaust now though, has a faint brown/blue tinge.
The drum just said Jasma approved, Fujitsubo.
IMHO all exhaust get rusty over time

it sounds clean to me, with softer pops.. it costs more than HKS legamax though.

i love the way this exhaust sounds. it looks f*ing crazy too...
the only thing i don't like is the resonance damper which is similar in S2000 stock exhausts.
gone are the rotary exhaust pulses... can we really sound anymore like a souped up 4banger?

also too much water dumping out now that its more free-flowing, with the oem cat.
i guess its personal preference... those who like to throw fire instead of water uses a race pipe. =)
TAKA: how much does this exhaust system weigh? in lbs.???

hmm...i was thinking less. cuz the overall combo seems to be smaller than stock.
i could be wrong, there may be more stainless used.
is the stock exhaust stainless too??? kinda funny because i gave the top side a lil polish, and it became shiny as hell.
