Getting ready to install...

My Racing Beat REV8 catback tomorrow morning. Going to go pick up 2 more jack stands and a bigger car jack which I'm going to use to roll the stock exhaust out and the new one in. Gonna try doing this solo. WISH ME LUCK

I sure did! Cleared out my garage from my kitchen cabinet project to get the car in and WD-40'd. I sprayed some in the rubber hangers just for kicks but I'll probably use the "detergent" method to slip them out. Everything looks like it's in there pretty tight so I'll be honest and say I'm a little intimidated... Also it seems the rx8 jack doesn't go high enough to where I want the jack stands to be.

For those who have done this, how did you guys get the bolts loose??? I went out and bought an impact wrench but forgot to get the socket adapter to fit a smaller socket. Then my wife went out and I have no car lol.

Will give it a shot. If it works, then I'll just return the impact wrench too.

Got her done!!! Didn't even use the impact wrench since it was too big anyway.

Note to anyone who hasn't done this yet; don't forget the detergent and a deep socket adapter!

The Rev8 is almost annoyingly quiet.... Time for a midpipe

Yeah, I was expecting more sound also when I installed my Greddy SP2. Post what MP you go with, I'm in the market too.

Thank you sir! I was originally trying to go with install option 2 (no shroud removal) but it seemed almost impossible to get the stock exhaust out without taking the shrouds off. Surprisingly easy. Usually me + plastic tabs = epic fail, but not this time my friends!

@rxwarrior I probably honestly wont get a midpipe until I get the Cobb AP since CEL is something I CANT live with. I'm thinking the RB mp in the effort to build a full RB exhaust setup. Maybe even the headers in the future...

Good job.
The Rev8 does get louder as it warms up!

It really does get louder as I run it for longer. Now I'm thinking either the BHR or Mazsport midpipe. Am I reading right that the Mazsport is in fact the same thing as the Agency Power? So confused... Still on the edge as I want to pass emissions without hassle and no CEL.. ah the cost to play

The Mazport is basically the same thing as the Racing Beat, the Agency Power is alot louder and raspy from what I understand.
