Smile Got Borla Cat-Back System today.

I received the Borla cat-back system today and quickly installed it. Installation took about 2-3 hrs. The exhaust was VERY rusted, it was sort of a pain to take off but not too bad.

I have a few pics including a before and after. The exhaust is just right it's not an ultra loud ricer but it's a considerable difference from stock.

Here a few pics. 1. System off car 2. Stock Exhaust 3. Borla Exhaust

***Attached are the same pics incase you can't see them.

If you have any questions just ask, and leave some comments, thanks.

Well I was originally gonna buy it from rx7 store for about $730 after shipping and that price was just too good however I found it for about $750 locally and I'm an impatient person so I went with the local option lol.

The exhaust sounds great like I said in my first post it has a great deep sound and it's a difference from stock but it's not a screaming exhaust you'll find on a civic. It's just right you don't have that constant sound giving you a headache. Truly perfect I didn't expect for it to be perfect but I have to give it to Borla they put out a nice product.

looks good; I just hate the flow of the Borla

the bends in the intermediate pipe, side entry into muffler, 2.5" piping
not saying it isn't a good exhaust

Hmm, I think the midpipe is 3 inches, in person was thick. The bends must be there for a reason by Borla and from the exhaust thread it's numbers show.

Looks good man! I have the same. I also bought a hi-flo cat and injen short ram (the newer one with the fancy heat shield thing). Looks and sounds great. Nice throaty sound. Loud enough to turn heads but not set off car alarms... lol. The injen sr made it a little louder but nothing to crazy. Nice work! I see you suffer from the Borla wandering eye tailpipe thing as I do... lol. Can't tell unless you're really lookin for it though.

LOL yeah man I know! I'll be washing the car and I'll be comparing and then after 20 mins wasted I forget about it.

I got a new stock cat from my mazda dealer for free because I'm under 80K miles and I told them that the cat was robbing fuel economy so they gave me a brand new one which helped a ton.

Took mine out for the first time with the Borla system, and I'm pleasantly surprised with the sound. Nice throaty deep note under 4k, and doesn't get horribly loud under full throttle. Still can't hear the exhaust over wind roar above 90mph, so I guess I meet the track exhaust decibel rules.

after trying out a ton of exhausts, the borla is in my opinion the best sounding for a stock car with cat. It also sounds good on a turbo car catless. But don't try catless on a NA car..

Yeah around 4K it has a great sound. You can't really hear it from inside the car but if you're out of it it's pretty loud. I downshifted into first and I was doing 2K RPM and all the freshmen came up to me asking: what the hell do you have in that thing?! I was cracking up.

So it's definitely loud enough to get some attention apparently.
