1. Is good for JDM's version of RX8, because they dont have as much restriction as the USDM version (Emission related) Do not even try to use it on USDM version of Rx-8
2. To *trick* the stock computer into thinking its running as it should, but in fact the piggyback has changed various of singals.
3. NA, couple of HP. Turbo? u will need it.

Emanage

I used the emanage blue for a few years( Just picked up the Cobb AP). The emanage is great in the aspect that the map parameters are really flexible. You basically have something that looks like an excel spreadsheet with intake pressure on one axis and RPM on the other. The nice part is that its not just as basic as say 1k...2k... 3k if you find a problem area say at 6k you can dedicate more of the map to that area, like putting a column for 5.6, 5.8, and 6k to take care of the issue. The problem with the Emanage, however, is that it relies on MAP which is a static type of tuning, so what ever tuning you do is affected by atmospheric conditions.
The other problem is that the RX 8 ECU likes to learn. The Emanage screws with the O2 sensor signal to the ECU. So when the ECU sees that its goes ins don't equal the goes outs it starts adjusting to try to compensate. Unfortunately this is a perpetual cycle so what you actually experience is that after a tuning session the car will run great for a week max, then it'll start screwing up. The only way I was able to get around this was to reset the ECU, come up with a tune, then continuously reset the ECU... which becomes a huge pain in the butt .
In conclusion... man I feel like I'm writing an essay or something... the Emanage was a viable choice (note: this is just my opinion) a few years ago, but I think you're much better off going with something else.

Hope this helped.

Thats why you should've got Ultimate before, thats exactly the problem with Blue and USDM version of ECU. Blue has no problem with JDM version(less restriction on the ECU itself)

doesnt matter, u got AP already.

Emanage

A couple reasons why I did not get the EMU:
One: The Emanage Blue came with the turbo kit.
Two: The EMU didn't exist when I had the kit installed.
Three: I wasn't about to fork over $680 for something thats an "Upgrade" to a system that's quirky at its best.

The only reason I switched to the AP was that I was able to get my hands on one and test it out before I bought it. Since I've never seen the EMU in action I wouldn't know if they fixed the learning issue.

EMU came out long time ago, BUT EMU's Rx8 support came out about a year something ago.
