I received my greddy oil pan today.
I got it from rx7.com for alittle more, they're located in texas. The instructions are in japanese but I'll see if greddy has any english ones they can email me. It looks pretty easy to install, just take out everything from the old pan and put in the new one. Get hightemp silicon on edges and make sure it's sealed up good.
I'll be doing the turbo install next weekend. Here's a few pics.

I see there are a couple short baffles on one side but will they really protect you against oil starvation in a high-g sweeper? It seems like a better design (clearance issues notwithstanding) is the oil feed in a center depression.

Increase of 600cc oil capacity (which somebody said was around 2/3qts)
2 oil drains, 1 for the oil return from the turbo. (I don't like the idea of having to remove the return hose from the turbo for every oil change. More wear/tear on the hose and could lead to it leaking. I'd rather have a seperate drain plug.

It seems to have a turbo drain on the othere side. That is the only reason to get this pan. Putting the oil back in below oil level is not good. I'd like to see the baffling a little better but for that price take it. I could not build it for that price, in small lots anyway. They must have a good customer base to build the tooling and sell it for that.

I could machine them alright for that price it's just building the pattern that must be figured into each unit.

The conversion of 600cc to to quarts would be as follows (cubic centimeters is the same as mililiters)

600 cubic centimeter = 0.6340129 quart [US, liquid]

So the increased capacity is just over 1/2 quart.

Bottom line, I don't see the benefit other than possible turbo application.

Hey thew, got your reply after I had ordered it from rx7.com, $40 more, dammit.

If anybody needs it, here's the removal instructions with torque specs....

Make sure engine is cold.
Remove engine cover, remove batter cover, disconnect battery.
Drain engine oil.
Remove in order indicated in pic.
Install in reverse order.
Add engine oil.
Reconnect battery, start car, check for leaks. Inspect oil level.

could you elaborate more? from what i can tell it puts the oil back in below where the level would be......so were you sayign it's bad b/c it does that...or it's bad to do that and that's one reason why you would want this oil pan for your turbo....hmm maybe i'm tired b/ ci'm not sure if i made any sense..lol:D ah well.
