Wink Greddy Testimonials Needed

Hello All 8's
I am seriously thinking about purchasing the Greddy turbo unit as it seems like the only turbo that seems to have the results on the 8's.Before I purchase I need somw advice... ...If I install the unit then I will lose my car waranty...Is the Greddy Turbo relialble...Are there any problems that occur with the Turbo...Does the turbo damage the seals...Will I have to upgrade the manifold , clutch and fly wheel if I install the turbo...Im more worried about the manifold and clutch...Do we need to upgrade the brakes and sway bars to accomodate the new found power...Need advise here...My 8 has 185kw-248Hp at the wheels now...I really need all the pro's and cons for this..Is it really worth it if u can afford it...are there any new products comming out worth wating for...Should we look at the BLITZ SUPER CHARGER...Help...

Let me get this straight....

....you don't have a turbo, and your car has 248HP 'at the wheels'....

Forget the Greddy, you should be selling whatever your car has that puts out that kind of power.

go easy guys, he is new as i was back n march when i got my 8, hell i am new compared to most of you guys anyways.

So here is what they are talking about, you do not have 245 at the wheels stock, mazda tweak the rotary for emmission reasons and the horsepower to the wheels with the drivetrain loss comes to rougly 175-185 at the wheels.

With the turbo you will probably get around 240 to 260 at the wheels. I too am planning to make the turbo plunge, some guys get no probs out the box while others need some tuning. But the important thing is that tuning will usually correct the problems, (backfire, rough idle, etc.)

do a search on here, lots of info on the turbo. It does void your warranty on the power train, you may want to look into a better clutch later on if the stock one starts slipping under power.

Philodox, a member on here, was apparently the first one to get the turbo, pm him, he has first hand experience.

Gentleman
Please let me inform you on my present system. We have a free flow exhaust system and have tuned the car to burn leaner..we have the dynofigures...the lastr time we ran the thread (15% powergain with software) there were sceptics...we live on the coastline in Sotuh Africa and have 1 bar pressure constant...great for power gains...some said it was the HP at the fly wheel...but it was a 15% increase from stock systems regardless. We have also changed the air intake system...All we need to know is the Greddy Turbo a good unit and is it reliable...We recieved some info that the ECU of the 8 leans outs the fule, although the Piggy Back specs are running with the turbo...And owners have to recalibrate every so often...Is this true...
