search in the major horespower upgrades for something like greddy turbo. and I think you should consider a little more what you are doing before you "slap one on."

The kit is fine, but you'll want to consider replacing the hoses and getting some gauges.

Decent price for an OK kit, but you could probably find that price if not better from the board vendors. I had some big problems with this kit, but some people have it and it functions good on their cars.

But the posters above have it right. ANY turbo kit is going to incorporate far more to it than just the kit, especially this one (no BOV, no gauges, no fuel system upgrade if you want to up the boost, etc).

a few forum vendors have it for the same price with free shipping and tech support. Plus, you'll want new hoses, a boost controller, gauges to monitor everything, fuel pump and injectors, some tuning and dyno pulls, and a new exhaust prolly. Wayyy more than just a slap-on dealio.

thus the reason I asked for advice.............. turbokits are not something I know alot about and thats why I asked for advice. Thanks for being a threadcrapper.. Instead of just sarcastically stating good luck with this kit and then saying im going to have a bunch of problems with it.. maybe recommend one?

if you are not very knowledgeable on turbo kits, I would recommend you stay far away from this kit then. If you have the cash, look at the Mazsport unit, it is far more complete out of the box. Still will need tuning though. Not sure if you understand it is not easy just to get upgraded hoses. Luckily, there is a poster now on the major hp section thta listed the sizes & places to get the upgraded silicone hoses.

just spent 30min reading through the mazsport thread about the typeII kit... considering it big time... The ~10k is VERY justifiable from what I read. I would not be doing this work myself. I have a buddy who is into this mechanical "thing" and was the one that informed me of needing the hoses, gauges, etc... Guess its time to start saving and hopefully after this michigan snow melts I will have enough to drop and tune one of those badboys in... at least type III at the VERY least (depending how much dough-rae-me I can bank by then)....

The Mazsport is deff a better deal, you get support if you have a problem, and it's a lot more ocmplete. Plus, a greater power potential and overall design, and you get an upgraded fuel system out of the box. Worth the extra cash in reduced headaches alone!
