Angry greddy turbo kit in rx8 an wont start need suggestions

just installed a greddy turbo kit for my 04 rx8 an its cranking but it wont start. i do not have the medal plate in the manifold like it said? an i have a breather filter on my oil top where the cap is..is this the cause of the problem i need help i dont no what the problem is

what engine management are you using? did you install the kit yourself?

engine management is "E management" all bolt on greddy kit did it myself. turbo is t618z...i guess

It could be flooded - try push or pull starting it .
also try disconnecting the Emangle & reconnecting the stock ECU (just to get it going)

also, where is the jet air fuel mixing hose?is it very important for the car to run? im not sure if i did this part correctly, the kit did come with a BOV which im pretty sure is done right, im going to try these suggestions right now also

Probably a good thing you can't get it started because it sounds like you need to do some reading up before you go much further .


First thing to do is order the Accessport from MM (the guy in post 3) - the Emangle is a poor tuning option and will give you more headaches than you can imagine right now .

Then while you wait for that , read up as many turbo install threads as you can starting with the 'greddy turbo fixes' thread .

Once you get the car started you can run it NA (up to about 5000rpm ) on the stock computer , if you pull off the wastgate control arm .

do u think its flooded? if so how do i unflood it

There is a deflood proceedure in the owners manual .
But way better to push start it - do you know how to do that ?

ya i no how to push start it....but even if its cranking it could still be flooded you think?

The greddy turbo kit comes with a medal seal plate that goes I'm the
intake manifold to block a hole. Well I
never put that in. Would that have somthing to do with it. An if I shorten up the vacuum lines will that help vacuum pressure to help it start

none of those will stop it from starting .
The blocking plate is a good idea but not essential .
