Not sure where you are getting your info, but a tuned Greddy turbo system is getting in the 240-250+ whp area, an approximate improvement of 60-70 whp for the average RX8. Unless you are looking at this or Nitrous nothing else will get you this kind've hp increase for this car.

I had 234 whp when I was running 6 psi, now at 7.5 psi it is over 250.

so in other words, if you push the engine a little bit with higher psi like 9 or 8, you can get like 290 wheel HP.
that is amazing according to that price.(2500)
other brands of turbo kits are around 4000above.

That is an assumption that has a few flaws to it. Needless to say the max available out of this turbo on this car, even perfectly tuned, will still be around 300 rwhp or so and that is really pushing it hard. It won't be at 8-9 psi to get here either.

Yeah, I agree with RG on this. I think 8-9 psi will get you around 270-280 whp. I think 280 whp is about as good as you are going to get. At higher boost levels it just starts to "degrade" gains. For example, At 6 psi you are getting around 10 whp per lb. of boost. At 8 psi plus you may only get 12-15 more hp than at 6 psi. Manuel had his set at like 12 psi & was getting like 303 whp with a lot more stuff on it.

en ok. so it doesn't work. i really really want my RX8 to have 300 wheel hp. and 290 torques.
that will be one crazy car in turning and dragging.

Sorry, not even close. The 300 whp mightbe doable with the upcoming PTP kit, or if you want to spend even more the SSR/SFR turbo kit, but NO kit is going to give you 290 lb.-ft. of tq. That is about an additional 150 ft.lbs. of tq vs. stock (stock is about 140 lb.ft. to the wheels). Look for about 200-230 ft.lbs as more acheivable standards
