grounding kit + rear strut bar installed today

i recieved my buddyclub grounding kit and mazdaspeed rear strut bar yesterday in the mail. installation took about an hour. i can really tell the difference with the grounding kit. i dont get vibrations anymore when the car is in idle, and the throttle response is faster. i also feel a little more torque, maybe.... some said grounding kits increase gas mileage, i guess ill have to find out.

What the hack is a grounding kit? What does it do over some extra cable?

I'm planning two extra cables, one from the battery and one from the engine to a shaven patch of steel on the car frame.
That and a new set of NGK Iridium should improve gas milage.

a grounding kit allows more electric current to run though the car and stablizes it. its a really cheap mod to do and u can make one yourself. the installation is pretty simple, just place the wires according to size on top of the original grounding points. mine was a expensive one costed me about $150. supposibly it supposed to add 2-3 horse power, more torque, brighter lights, increased battery life, and better gas mileage. mine gives off a cool LED blue glow that shines really bright. ill take a picture tonight in the dark.

Nice.. you should trim some of those lines down so they fit perfect, then ziptie them so you have a cleaner engine bay.

You might pick up .5 hp, have a smoother idle and have brighter lights....that's about it. You could have saved $115 and got one of the ebay specials that would do the same thing except glow at night....that's what you're really paying for.

I don't think one would need to stablize the GROUND wire. If voltage needs adjustment, it would be from the Positive post.

the rx-8 badge in the trunk lining looks a lil too far apart.

^+1..........I have the Z-Ent grounding kit...very similar blue, and the install is a lot cleaner, think I paid about $38.00. http://www.maxground.com/ground.htm
You should shorten them up and/or tie them off. Looks good though.

I'd like to put in one but the trunk lining would have to be cut.
Is there a plastic cover to conceal that?

Yes, but remember, I don't have the one that is talked about in this thread or the one that the OP has pictures of. The E-ENT is just a series of quality cables that tie to already existing grounding points. It doesn't have them all tie to one point, but more of a daisy chain(if you will). The website I put in that other post, may have the instructions to show you where they would tie off. I may have a pic, but my wires are basically hidden. I put a shot on here somewhere, so I'll go find it and post it here, but I was showing the new dampers and not the grounding kit, so it won't show much. You can kinda see the longest run, running behind the strut bar. I like what Beeotch has there, but I just think the routing could have done better.

i also noticed that my Itrip for my ipod no longer has static when i listen to my music. IMO getting a grounding kit is one of the best mods ive done to my car. i coulda spent 30 bucks for an ebay one, but i like it when girls trip when they see it.

Let us know if any of that actually happens. Imho unless you have corroded grounding points or broken grounds, it's snake oil.

I still don't understand why people waste money on grounding kits
