Has anyone here tried this?
i have been considering this for about a week now, but i want to find someone who HAS done this and want to know what they think about it. It's the Mazda RX8 Hydrogen Booster...

That product is essentially the "aquatune"
Looks like they are charging you a premium for the scangauge, injector cleaner, and some line thats going to be used to suck water into the intake.

The electronic control circuit is a simple potentiometer (variable resister) that is installed on a couple wires run from your cabin into the engine compartment and attached to the MAF (mass air flow) sensor signal line or MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor signal line. The potentiometer (dial) is installed in a convenient location where the driver can adjust the air/fuel ratio to a leaner setting than normal while driving. All wire connectors and wire are included with the system. During operation the upstream oxygen sensor is unplugged. The oxygen sensor is operational, the reason it needs to be kept unplugged because otherwise it will overwrite the adjustment of the electronic control circuit by increasing the fuel injected as it senses to extra lean air/fuel mixture.
There's a reason A/F ratios are computer controlled; a computer can subtly change it for the needs at the split second of the engine. If you're taking over that control and doing it by hand with a rotating dial, good luck to 'ya...

The "hydrogen generator" part of that kit from what I can see is nothing more than simple home improvement store parts. I see a white piece of PVC pipe with 2 rubber caps and 2 rubber grommets on top. I see an aluminized steel vent pipe with 2 corresponding rubber caps and a few misc. plastic nipples and plugs. I'm sure there is a couple of little metal plates inside it too. I see a few copper pipe reducers soldered together, a bag of wire, and a relay. Don't forget the metal strap that is bent into a holder for the "generator" and the length of vinyl tubing. A couple of fancy stickers on a plastic bag and a home made installation disc complete the scam, err... uh... package. The only legit items I see are a scan guage and a couple of bottles of fuel injector cleaner.
$889 Wow! I'm going to start building and selling these. I'd even be willing to sell them 50% cheaper than this!
