Header avalible for the 8?

I have looked all around the next and the only one i have come up with is from OBX. Is there any other options out right now for our cars??
Not really wanting to go turbo, so I am just gonna try to do all the bolt ons possible in attempt to reach around 225 to the ground.

Please do not buy anything OBX. Their products are notorious for being cheap and of low build quality. They may offer cheap prices, but you get what you pay for.

i disagree with the obx is junk comment. i owned an obx header on my previous car, it was all stainless with great welds, also out of all the other headers that were avail for the focus (my previous car) headers avail( focus central, focussport, ford racing, jba, pace setter) the obx was suprisingly the best avail the only that didn't crack or warp or anything. i even wrapped it and had it glowing quite often after i removed it i looked it over well not one fatigue mark or anything i definately would reccomend one but i will warn you that on the rx8 it is a major pain in the ractal cavity to install

Downtime is ok and have changed out some toughies in my time.

Will look into the other companies mentioned.

Wish Racing Beat had theirs out since I am already using their Intake and Exhaust.

The OBX header is junk, it doesn't retain the OEM air pump so you'll probably throw a CEL, and the one person who has dyno'd it showed a loss over stock.

OBX is technically not emissions legal if that matters to you

if you have one then what's the secret with who and where they come from?

once you throw tuning in you can't really differentiate how much of the power increase is the header and how much is the tuning, not to mention that it's been shown that there's that much power in tuning without a header

I'll believe all this talk about headers when I see figures and technical explanations from a credible vendor or source...

Looks and Power?? Have you ever looked under the hood of an RX-8? A header will sure look great in our engine bay.

You will not see much of the header and no big power gains can be found from one yet.

The cat of the same manufacturer showed -fully tuned- 15 hp peak power and 10-11 across the range.
For more info please pm me.

because Astra Racing has been very forthcoming and open with their information and you posted the info as if the header itself was responsible for that amount, now it includes a computer tune and hi-flow cat which is more believable ...

My mistake. As i said to some friends here, i will post pics and specs as soon as i have them on my pc.

And of course I don't trash ASTRA racing. They took the righteous path(NA) and I envy their results!

The fact is the formentioned: I can't know (personally)what are the gains of each mod seperately.

We 'll be in contact.
