its a exhaust that has the least amount of bends, so the exhaust can freely escape with even less backpressure, and if you have ever heard a sound clip, it IMHO has the best sound out of any other catback. if i did not allready have the MS dual, i would have bid on this till i won.

if gary would be willing to replicate it... oh man that'd be great for all of us.

but question again, can the muffler actually be replicate to create similar exhaust notes?

to make an exact copy of this exhaust, i think they're going to have to chop up this prototype...

Chop up the prototype? Omg....so im guessing this replicas arent really going to happen? What do you guys think? Swoope i didnt really understand what you said , are you saying gruppe-s is raising the price to get more money? or something like that? I already have a single center exit exhaust but i kind of want to go dual exhaust again , nothing better then a helix....too bad i dont have the $$$ or i would bid till i die . Argh , hope we can replicate this so the rx8 community can have a nice new exhaust -_-. Is it even possible to replicate the muffler( as thats the most important piece basically)?

it does not need to be exact. just get the pipe dia right and the correct mufflers... good welds. and of course the y done correct. and the right sized gaskets. silly it might be improved.. but the mufflers are the key... sexy..

just checked bidder 3 in the lead.

i will not explain how ebay works, but you have got a clue..

as to an exhaust. there are several good ones out there.. this one just has a great tone.. who knows if it makes more power, most make little...

now read my post above.. if you can figure the ebay out you will understand..

the greater good..

beers

yup, the muffler is the key. that is the chopping up i meant by. it would have to be opened it up unless helix is willing to provide info on the muffler. the piping is... well possible just by measurements outside.

There's got to be legal issues with copying someone's intellectual property and reselling it to the public. Is there any way to do this legally?

anyone that really knows mufflers will know what it is..

and where to find it.. the big challange might be why helix never made it. did the muffler source dry up???? they look a bit like the rx7 stores exhaust..

i dont really know the answers, but i do know how business works..

beers
