Help On Air Intake and other upgrades!
Hello thanks for everyone who is helping. Well i have a 05 automatic black rx8 completely stock. I want to like upgrade the horses and the sound of my car a bit so i was wondering wat kind of air intake is good for my car? I was looking at the Racing Beat REVi RX-8 Intake System is it any good? And beside intake any other minor upgrades that can help sounds or hp beside exhaust? not too pricy haha exhaust is already around 1k which is pricy for me. Oh yeah im planning on taking it to the shop and getting it done there.

you've been a member for a year, you should know better....
anyhow. $1K for exhaust? shouldn't be that much.
intake AND exhaust MIGHT net 10 horses, not enough to really even feel. they are just noise makers.
REVi is a good intake.
you can get the AccessPORT from MM and remove the cat and make a few extra horses, dont expect miracles though. The AP has some other nice added benefits.
short of spending thousands on turbo/supercharger, you arent gonna do anything to increase power in substantial amounts except maybe nitrous( like a 55 shot)

Yes 1 more quick question if u buy the racing beat revi is it mandatory to get the airduct as well or will it not sound as nice? As for the k&n typhoon intake i looked it up and it sounds nice. I couldnt find much videos for the racing beat revi intake

with the racing beat you dont need the ram airduct but its highly recommended. The air duct brings in the cold air so without it its not a "cai" it would be the same as the k&n. The k&n and stock is also compatible for the ram airduct.
