Hey Guys QUICK QUESTION, need answer!
I recently ordered a shinka rx8 - expected to arrive 2 weeks from now. Im located in Toronto Canada. I am looking into purchasing a mazdaspeed body kit for my rx8. I don't mind dealing with local or even international vendors (as long as they are reliable and deliver to canada). Price is not a problem, i just want to get my hands on the MS kit, however, i realize there are a lot of knock offs out there, so specifically my kit needs to be made out or urethane.
I was wondering, for all you rx8 heads here, would you slap an MS kit on and lower the car? or leave it on a stock height (i find it pretty low as it is). My last car was a pumped up 01 lude and it had a 4 inch ground clearance, and it was ok.
Secondly, I know the shinka in teh states has pewter rims and upgraded dampeners a and yada yada. Is this shinka identical to the canadian special edition (minus the shinka stickers)
And are there any new changes for the 06?

I just got the MS replica front & sides installed and so far I'm o-kay with stock height. I'm still adjusting and have hit the front twice so I'm somewhat timid about lowering. If you lower, don't lower much, maybe 1/2" as suggested by another member.
I don't know about any model differences b/n US and Canada.
I don't know of any 06 changes. Maybe a search would yield more info.

I can't imagine lowering my 8...I already scape the **** out of the bottom when going over speedbumps...even on an angle. And entering and exiting driveways that have a dip in them is no different, especially if there's passengers.
Lowering it would make it almost unpractical to drive on a daily basis.

I am surprised that you are having this problem. I lowered mine by 1”, and have not had a single problem - and we have some big speed bumps here in Nanaimo. I had lowered my Miata prior to the 8, and had many issues with it, but so far the 8 has been fine.
