Hopup Racing?

Hopup Racing?
I'm curious if anyone else has had any dealings with Hopup Racing? Ordered a B&B exhaust on thursday the 5th with assurances that it would arrive the coming monday. Since then I've called half a dozen times, each with promises that they'd email my tracking number and that the exhaust would be arriving shortly. It's been almost 2 weeks, I don't even know if my exhaust has actually been shipped, and needless to say I'm getting pretty frustrated.
So, before I head down there in person to get some answers, I'm curious if anyone has had any experiences with them, either good or bad.

I ordered exhaust from Hop Up as well. I never got an e-mail confirmation, so 3 days later I e-mailed them to see if they got the order. They then replied and said yes they got the order and confirmed my shipping address. I checked, and my Credit Card shows the bill (10 days ago) but still no exhaust. Something feels a little fishy here.

Talked to them today. They claim problems with their distributor, and I actually believe them. That said, they also told me the exhausts wouldn't be going out 'til monday. After a two week wait, I wasn't willing to wait any longer, so asked them to refund my money (which they're doing).
Overall, polite on the phone. I don't think they're scamming anyone, but I don't intend to find out, either. Provided the money gets credited back to my card in a timely manner, I have no beef with hop up racing.

Why didn't you just go there locally and get the exhaust in person? If I was in SD, and their store was in SD, it would save the shipping.. besides, I'd be so weary after a 2 week wait.. blah. Almost ordered the greddy exhaust from them...

That was the original plan, Outlaws eXtreme. Unfortunately they don't keep the exhausts in stock, and so rely on a variety of distributors to ship for them. The distributor for the Greddy was in LA, and the one for B&B was in Santa Barbara.

Mike, you're one of those people that asks to try someone's drink when they say it's awful, aren't you? At any rate, no, I don't think they stock many parts.

What's with the shots at mikeb?
Anyway, my "advice" would be to ask the questions about a shop before you place an order. You wouldn't have this hassle.
Let us know how the RX8 Store exhaust is.

I just figured it would be nice to go to the shop in del mar if they had any rx8 parts in stock. I am sick of buying stuff online.
when I want something I want it NOW not in two to three weeks when it can be shipped to me.

I was told it was being shipped out that day. What I get for believing the shop, I suppose.
