horsepowerfreaks rx8 owners: Seems like BS HP claims to me...
Based on what I've read here and the limited info on the mods on their cars, I can't but feel their claims are BS. What do you guys think?

2004 RX8 Pictures
2004 RX8 Pictures by Mystery of TEAM SIN
Mystery of's 2004 Mazda RX8 dynoed 248 whp and 160 ft-bs. It ran the 1/4 mile in 13.8 at 97 mph. It has a 1.3L powerplant, 6 Spd tranny and sports a Greddy exhaust. It rolls on Street tires, injests air via a twin take custom intake, and utilizes Stock camshafts.
Some people have some vivid imaginations.

If anybody wants them I have some stock camshafts left over from when we put race cams in some customer Rx8 engines. But be aware these are from the factory turbo engines w/intercooler, they might be to big for non turbo cars. In fact while I haven't checked myself there may be some interference between the lobes and the rods in the NA engines.

Terms....
If you read the terms of membership of this forum, you would realise we strive to be JUST a tad more adult than that.
If you start a flame-fest over there, and it spills over into the RX-8Club, you will be SO banned, (and your little dog too!)
Just warning, just a timely, public, written warning.....

well I'm not worried about that since all I did was point out their mistakes and recommend they get rid of the system in which you post your car(for rotories at least), since I figured out that's the only reason the camshaft thing was popping up to begin with. When you are filling out your car's info, if you leave camshafts selection empty, it ends up coming up stock. It's more so a website flaw then just plain stupidity. I didn't go over there and say omgwtfbbq u noobs think cams are in MY 8 wtf....

"Jim,
Thanks for the information. I will make the update page a little more clear. Those RX8 owners chose “stock” turbo instead of “no” turbo. I updated their pages. Good point also about the camshafts. I will fix this as well.
Thanks for the comments, and I welcome any other feedback you might have.
Take care,
Chris."
I haven't checked to see if it's changed yet, but the know now hahaha.
